I stopped paying attention to comic discussion on tiktok because it's all power levels and feats, and stuff is only fun in the context of the story.

It was really fun. There was this fun old school hee tactics with the loaded mask and distracted ref. Rey accidentally knocking himself out was a great finish. Plus that northern lights suplex was smooth as silk.

Hopefully not like The Gifted. Regardless of our feelings towards Charles, him and Magneto are anchors for the concept of the franchise. Without them you would have to find new characters to center the ideological conflicts around. I'm not sure anyone else would do as good of a job in that role.

There were some real advantages to the pandemic era. If a match bombed in front of some crowd in Topeka that might be the end of a whole story and/or someone's push, without the crowd wrestlers could work more holds and talk right to the camera.
