@tomheap.bsky.social and @helenczerski.bsky.social I really enjoyed today’s edition of Rare Earth this lunchtime on Radio 4 about Whales. It was a well balanced, informative programme. I think this series is the best yet. Thank you.

Good to hear you back on BBC Radio 4 in Rare Earth of Fridays @tomheap.bsky.social and @helenczerski.bsky.social.

@tomheap.bsky.social @helenczerski.bsky.social Good to hear that a new series of Rare Earth is coming to BBC Radio 4. I am looking forward to it.

I live in a rural setting on the southern border of Greater Manchester. While enjoying a mug of coffee sat in a room facing my rear garden, I spotted two green parakeets alight on a bush bearing berries. They were a wonderful sight. I suspect they are feral. The unexpected joys of nature!

@tomheap.bsky.social Hello, Tom. I enjoy your Rare Earth programme with co-presenter Helen. Also, thanks for your contributions to Costing the Earth on BBC Radio 4, too.

Just returned from a visit to the local health centre to be greeted by two moorhens grazing in my back garden. It’s cold and the nearby pond is frozen over. The birds are hungry and under pressure. It’s uncanny how nature can bring you back down to earth. I was touched.

@neilsleat.bsky.social I have just found you on Bluesky and shall follow you. This looks like a respectful safe haven. Best wishes.

@helenczerski.bsky.social Good to find you here, Professor. I enjoyed your science programmes on BBC FOUR and listen to Rare Earth on Radio 4. This looks like a friendly medium. It suits me well since I respect consensus and cooperation. I shall follow you.

@profaliceroberts.bsky.social I feel in good company. I was hoping you would be on this medium. I look forward to your output, since I have an interest in science and human history.
