The latest development is claiming that #ElonMusk is no longer running it. #Trump and Elon are responsible regardless of whether that's true. /3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ziK...

and most of them not itemised. They expect us to take their word for after being caught in massive lies. (An earlier analysis found checked the highest few items and found that the actual saving was a small fraction of the claim.) And that's before even considering the harm done by these "savings".

And tourism is down too, an estimated $11 billion. #DictatorTrump #ICE

And China was NOT quick to negotiate. It seems like China knew that Trump would have to back down at least most of the way, because not doing so would damage the US economy too much. /6 #DictatorTrump #TrumpLies #Trump #Tariffs

and if they are no longer profitable (as would be the case for many companies if they fully absorbed the tariffs - they would be selling many products at a gross loss), then ultimately they will cease trading, resulting in many job losses, and unavailability of the products they imported. /5 #Trump

Those companies are typically owned by Americans, and employ Americans. If they massively reduce their profits (often to the extent of making losses), they will have to make massive cuts, including layoffs and/or salary cuts, /4 #DictatorTrump #TrumpLies #Trump #Tariffs

Also, the question "Does he acknowledge that if companies don't absorb the full cost, Americans will have to pay?", while important, misses the point that if these companies (the U.S. importers) *do* absorb the cost, Americans are still paying. /3 #DictatorTrump #TrumpLies #Trump #Tariffs #GOP

MAGAs are cheering for these cuts, too stupid to realise they are the beneficiaries of the programmes being cut. Medicaid for example, and likely Social Security. (Actually, there are signs that some - still a minority of MAGAs - are starting to cop on.) /2 #DictatorTrump #TrumpLies #Trump #Tariffs

Is this why #ElonMusk bought #Trump? The payback for turning X into a #Trump propaganda tool. Is this system going to be built by a company that supports #Putin? If so, it's not for the benefit of the American people. #DictatorTrump

And the superstition is disguised as patriotism, using gaslighting. They claim to support the Construction while supporting the party that undermines it and ignores court decisions. They claim to support #FreeSpeech, but think that it means that no one is allowed to criticize them. #DictatorTrump

And this is just one of many compromising payments or deals accepted by #Trump - see the video in the first post. And Steve Bannon explained Trump's strategy of overwhelming the media before: youtu.be/9UP5dC7ZKZ8?... This is what he's been doing on many issues. /3 #corruption

And they may be spending about $1 billion on retrofitting it. It won't save anything because Boing is already building a replacement Air Force One. I suppose that's why he has to cut things that benefit ordinary people. /2 #Trump #corruption www.msn.com/en-ie/news/w...

(To be clear, anything that makes a #swasticar less useful or less in-demand, makes #Tesla less valuable, and that affects #Elon's wealth, since he's a major shareholder.) /4

Similarly if support freedom of speech (that means supporting it for everybody, not just yourself). , you can't condone #Musk's behaviour. /3
comment in response to post
It's an effective protest since it affects #Elon's wealth. Also, ironically, if you care about the environment and #ClimateChange, you can't support #ElonMusk: He does much more harm to it than the benefits of his products. /2

That should be obvious to anyone who doesn't support fascism, #dictatorship, #WarCrimes, #racism, #sexism, disinformation, far right conspiracy theories, etc., or even people who do, but also don't want to seriously damage the economy and/or the international reputation of the US. /1 #ElonMusk

It sounds like he's afraid of films (especially documentaries) made in countries where the film makers cannot be threatened by the government. #DictatorTrump #AmericasHitler

That wouldn't (by itself) explain why a higher proportion of the religious ones have sexist attitudes.

And if "Make America Great Again" means to make things like they were around the 1950s to 1970s, etc., this is the opposite of what #Trump actually wants, when you remember the tax rates then: youtu.be/gz2VPTlukUc?... (Although the rich didn't actually pay *that* much, due to tax avoidance.) /2

Dictators conflate the country with their regime, so when he talks about sovereignty, he means survival of his regime. Long term survival of his regime depends on suppression of the truth. Hence, it is incompatible with good journalism. #DictatorTrump
