Yes, Greg. All true. And the same people fail to understand the critical fact that,
AMERICA FIRST = AMERICA ALONE
Bibi aside, we have no allies in this insane adventure.

And why not! Bob, you can't imagine what the airwaves are like now in the Metro NYC tv/cable space. Just one pro-Cuomo ad after another, back-to-back. Ugly ads too. Racist ads. Slick ads. Paid for people with all the money in the world. Pocket change for them.

He's a walking Id, Bob. That's all he is.
Me, Me, Me!!!!!
And he doesn't give a shit about any of the rest of us. Or who might be hurt by his impulses. He just doesn't. Trump is wholly lacking in soul and in morals. An evil, evil man. A selfish toddler with bombs--and nukes.

Sorry, meant to say Tom Wilson, not Watson! Soon as I sent it, I said, Oh, no! Stupid me!

Oh, and I look forward to seeing how Tom Watson behaves when the Sheriff takes the ice next time the two teams meet up. My money is on the Sheriff. And I hope he gives it to that smirking bastard but good. Talk about a bad example--and absolutely disgusting behavior.

Loved your Heroes list. Could not agree more, even including Dvorak, whom I have pilloried for years. He did good. And Marty did spectacularly; he and his bosses are the best the Habs have had since Sammy and Scotty's Day.

Well said: "This gibbering submoron." Well said.

Memorable line, one I've never forgotten.
My spouse of 40+ years died this past week (complications from her terrible cancer). Hilary was only 67. She loved "The Wire." And she taught me to love it. You should know that, David. Thank you. You gave us great joy.

Yes, and Brian is totally, 100% correct. I'd vote to keep Newhook, but strictly as a speedy winger. NOT as a 2L C. No way.

Arguably, probably, the best NHL GM of his generation.
High regards from this quarter.
And he employed all my Habs heroes! Robby Cat 19, Jacques 25, Jacques 2, Claude Lemiuex, Stéphane, etc etc etc.

Yes, like Sheldon Whitehouse, who is both smart and capable.

If FDR and Winston Churchill could enter into a coalition with Stalin in order to stop Hitler and Tojo, then I happily, willingly join in the coalition with Liz Cheney and the Lincoln Project. She and they, in turn, should join the likes of us. It's NOW OR NEVER! WE MUST STOP THIS TRAITOR! TOGETHER!

PS: If FDR and Winston Churchill could accept a coalition with Stalin in order to stop Hitler and Tojo, I can too. We all should. Liz Cheney should be our New Best Friend. And I mean it. And she should accept the likes of us as HER New Best Friends. TOGETHER WE CAN . . . .

May they rot in hell with The Leader. Like Paul, Weiss, their cowardice will not be forgotten--or forgiven. History will make it so. Bastards. Cowards. Scum in pinstripes. Fuck them.

I read Paul Krugman first thing today. His conclusion: The Trump Tariffs are worse than almost anyone imagined, “a much bigger shock to the economy than the infamous Smoot-Hawley tariff of 1930.” He asks: “Will malignant stupidity kill the world economy?” Well, Musk Brats drafted it, didn't they?

Vindictive Moron has succeeded in absolutely tanking the markets this morning. In Free Fall.

Speaking of: The other new history that I can recommend enthusiastically is "Germany 1923." It should be read in tandem with "Takeover." Both are superb.

I love Federal Hill. Old Philly friend Paky put me up at his wonderful old hosue there on numerous occasions when I was doing magazine pieces. Then my wine friends Paul and Marguerite bought his house--and I stayed with them there! Funny.

He will do just that, David.
His poor siblings and cousins. I feel so sorry for them.
Miserable, egotistic bastard.

He will indeed.
My wife's mother had photographs of her and my late father-in-law with Bobby, Senior, in Clinton (at Hamilton, where Bob taught journalism), when Bobby was running for Senate.
Unlike my wife, I'm neither Irish nor Catholic, but I loved Jack, Bobby and Teddy. I hate this bastard.

But, I don't care, I do.

I'd say you're going to love it, but it's terrifying. But it's also brilliant. I thought I knew a LOT about that period, David--I've read the Kershaw and Evans histories and bios--but a great deal of this was new even to me. The other great new book is "Germany 1923." Check it out! Read in tandem.
