Great eye! They haven't updated the renewal manual yet for 2025, so I held off on looking closely into any changes, but looks like you're right. This is a new requirement introduced for new applicants, but it looks like it'll be required for renewals as well. I'll update the guide after lunch

I did the NALCAP program for 3 years before moving to Spain permanently. You should definitely give it a try! It can feel overwhelming at first given the paperwork involved with getting a visa, but there are many great free guides/blogs such as mine:
