I know y’all don’t care about this but there’s a pretty fast spreading Covid variant going around and there’s gonna be a summer surge whether you like it or not. You can, of course, avoid this by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask but you won’t do that.

Hello, friends! My website is live! Head over there to find out more about me, sign up for my newsletter, follow my other socials, and look at my basic graphic design skills! www.accessibleescapes.org

I think if you're writing an obituary for Elon Musk's political career you should probably mention that he's still a federal employee, that his loyal right-hand man is still running his operation, and that people closely associated with him are employed in key positions all through the government

Anything on removing trans medical care access to all on Medicaid? Or do you just not care about that?

The house has passed a ban on coverage of gender care for all ages under Medicaid, CHIP and ACA plans. I don't know what to say to anyone this morning other than that the hundreds of thousands of people who are about to lose access to the care they need to stay alive deserve better than silence.

Reading this while being the only masked people in the CHEMOTHERAPY CENTER with my immunocompromised cancer patient mom…why yes I have turned into the joker, tysm for noticing.

Reasons to wear an n95: 1) COVID never ended 2) Unmitigated illness is a tool used to harm marginalized groups & you don’t want to participate 3) You think disabled folks deserve safety & access 4) You want to avoid allergens & pollutants 5) Community care is punk AF Get/give mask mutual aid:

Under 65 years old? No Novovax COVID vaccine for you this year. As expected, the Republicans have enabled RFK Jr. and his coterie of antivax grifters to take away your right to make your own medical decisions in consultation with your doctor. Gift Link: www.nytimes.com/2025/05/17/h...

YES!! 17776 and 20020 were both phenomenal and I'm glad to see it's finally continuing!

so the members of congress just stopped going to el salvador and not a single person who was illegally sent there has been returned and that’s just how it is now?

i am experiencing trauma

The nation’s top health official says “I don’t want to be giving advice” about whether it’s better for children to get a polio vaccine or risk being paralyzed for life.

BREAKING: The scene at the Rayburn Building is pure rebellion. Protesters are swarming in during live hearings on Medicaid cuts. Security’s losing control. Because when the government wages war on the poor, the poor fight back.

Masking should be mandatory in all healthcare settings. Hospitals and doctor’s offices are where most sick people congregate. It’s also the most likely place for more high risk people to be. You shouldn’t have to risk getting sicker or more disabled while trying to get treatment.

Less than 2 years between seasons, what a concept!

oh my god they spelled responsibility wrong

We know this is (barely) coded eugenics for a simple reason: he's not arguing for vaccine mandates. Getting vaccinated is a bare minimum for an individual's health maintanence duty to the larger community. It matters way more than your weight or your exercise routine.

Exposing the names of the secret police is good, actually.

Motorola still makes their phones with headphones jacks. Just switched to a Moto G Power 2025 and it has one.

"Masked security forces captured an opposition leader in the coastal province of New Jersey as regime officials continue their months-long crack-down against pro-democracy elements in the embattled United States. The arrest comes as the regime issued calls for summary detentions without trial."

I’m told they were stopping people at this intersection and asking them for their papers.

Every extra hour that ICE spends facing off with activists is an hour they can't spend kidnapping other people. Every extra minute ICE has to spend contingency planning around activists and neighbors, every extra officer ICE has to put on a kidnap squad, is a drain on their efficiency.

Abigail Spanberger, Democrat running for Virginia Governor, says she wouldn't sign a bill that fully repeals right-to-work. Any politician who wants to serve working Americans needs to unequivocally stand against anti-union right-to-work laws and support the labor movement.

just so we’re all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because they’re trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful

Sinners (2025)

I say Hello There constantly hoping some stranger will respond with the right quote.

My last post for Polygon, which I specially wanted to go up because I wanted this to be the last thing on my byline 💕💕 a very Petrana post about crushes and fandom to end on 💜💜🥺🥺

THE entire NIOSH engineering group has been fired among most ALL of NIOSH. It is devastating. www.cbsnews.com/news/worker-...

WGAE confirms all union members of Polygon were fired as part of the sale to Valnet.

My wife is a great writer and you should subscribe to her Substack if you haven't already. Also, help out your local mask bloc!

Hey, abled folks. Please join a mask bloc. I beg you. open.substack.com/pub/jlrigby/...

this is legitimately evil

American health insurance: teeth are not part of the body

Don’t underestimate the impact of choosing to wear a mask (ideally an N95) You’re telling disabled & marginalized people they’re not expendable. You’re telling government you don’t believe that COVID is over. You’re fighting for social justice & against ableism. You’re protecting your health.
