Just got a reservation to go to Chimney Rock in NC in July. It’s opening up for the first time since the Hurricane. All the trails won’t be open but I’m okay with just seeing the big rock and view.

I don't get much vacation time this year as it was prorated but I just booked four nights in a mountain cabin second week in November. It's only an hour away but has mountain views and easy commute to Asheville. Book reading, sunsets and a couple of days exploring the area and Biltmore at Christmas.

Just did a Zumba class since last Thursday’s was cancelled. Sweating profusely. Now a Therapeutic Assisted Stretch session. It’s extra but we will see if I feel like it helps the hip/back. I might need assistance out the door! 🤣 Then a pedicure! My nail polish was ok but the dry skin. 🤢

My apartment sends an email at 5 today. Oh by the way we are pressure washing all the patios over the next three days, you must remove everything from your patio by tomorrow. Uh. No. My patio is like a room and I don't have the space inside. I will remove all I can and you can move furniture.

Update on my sister's 3rd opinion. They do feel like it is Stage 4 but the metastased spots are so small they feel like 1-2 "zaps" of radiation will take care of them. These doctors are a bit more aggressive in treatment and she now just has to decide which one to go with. She did say this doctor

So I get a message this morning to schedule my appointment with the Breast Cancer Prevention Center and this part annoys me so much. Non-urgent. Most folks wouldn’t be coming to see you if it wasn’t urgent for them. Waitlist I can see but the language needs to worked on in their scripts.

Good news! My sister does not have the BCRA gene for breast cancer which means it’s unlikely I will have it as well as well as her girls. Still likely will be getting an MRI for baseline but maybe will not need genetics testing anymore.

I hate when I do stupid stuff. Missed the start of my musical today. I forgot Sunday matinees start at 1:00. Last one I went to was on Saturday which started at 2:00. I walked up and was like where is the line?? Dummy. Now I’m taking a long walk downtown and sweating 🥵.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I slept in really late today after I stayed way too late doing financial things. Got a grocery pickup and a couple more books with some credits. Tomorrow I go see "Some Like it Hot" musical and then I have a pickleball game with a couple of friends.

My Summer Friday was to see a CPA. He was not impressive. If you don't understand how the W-4 worksheet works then how can I? He told me how much I might owe. I think it's too high because he didn't take into effect my pre-tax deductions. I likely won't let him file my taxes.

So I was going to switch to a high deductible health insurance starting July 1. I had two more days to decide. Tonight, I decided at least for the rest of this year to stick with the co-pay system. Cause I know with the high deductible I was probably about to have to pay $2000-3000 in July.

Back from my doctors appt. Her exam showed no areas of concern but I will be getting an MRI and genetic testing likely in July and depending on genetics results the next steps could go a couple of ways. Now I’m home an hour early and going to use that gift time to read.

Finished #TheHauntedPalace. If I was in a better headspace I might have enjoyed it more but it was just okay for me. The last few episodes were hard for me to get through. The FL was a bit boring. Why was the blind shaman allowed to live SO MANY TIMES?? Onward.
