Trump called the Nat Guard on people protesting the extrajudicial kidnapping and trafficking of human beings to El Salvador but not on the January 6 rioters he personally directed onto the Capitol, and keeps inflaming things by throwing Marines in "They spit, we hit" Tells you all you need to know.

I mean.... No lie told there

Seems pretty alive to me.

"Clash" Looks like a bunch of teenagers arguing with the most hilariously overdressed wannabe soldiers. I hope it's fucking hot and humid in those uniforms and smells like unwashed balls.

We've got the usual housing, wage, student loan, credit debt and climate crises at home already for fuck's sake.

Yeah, I'm sure the students at Kent University assumed they wouldn't be fired on with live ammunition since they were citizens too.

How would you know? There was no due process, many didn't have outstanding orders or history, the courts FORBADE IT and we can't fucking reach them. And they've arrested, detained and fast tracked people here legally on visas by dint of simply cancelling their visas out from under them unilaterally

Cellphone auto corrected Bro to Broccoli and you know what? I'm owning it. Bro-ccoli, they're coming for everyone, then calling everyone else they don't like criminals. Garcia has *no* criminal history, now he's getting slapped with human trafficking? Why do you assume they won't do it to you?
comment in response to post
Broccoli They're stopping and kidnapping anyone even vaguely brown, regardless of whether they're naturalized or native born

Wow, sounds like the LAPD shouldn't be taking part in this extrajudicial fascist night of broken glass or something like that!

"College Graduates earn an average of 60-80% higher wages than a high school degree" Yeah, *not seeing that*
comment in response to post
I'm *sure* they've been trained in de-escalating things with civilian protesters who are just defending their neighborhood against unlawful kidnapping and human trafficking 🙄
comment in response to post
Last I checked the LAPD was *helping*, right?

These are the same people who made not One, but TWO right-wing Twitters before twitter itself became Right Wing.

It'd just be great if Konami could ever fucking get around to letting me have a second save slot.

In a funny way - because I WILL debate this from a philosophical point of view - Frieren does this QUITE well with the relationship between the Human races and Demons My take is that Demons have morality it's just completely alien to humans, but BECAUSE it's so alien it's evil and incomprehensible
comment in response to post
At the very least Evil has some sort of a Morality Pet or a Cause or a Justification even if it's twisted. This is still present in even older media - it's hardly ever to the level of Gargamel wanting to eat smurf for breakfast or make gold or Cruella just wanting a suffering coat.

I grew up watching stuff like Jackie Chan Adventures, Freakazoid, Static Shock, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Teen Titans and I'd say with confidence "That's not very new really" The problem kind of stems from the fact that there's no one True Evil: Evil is either incomprehensibly evil or cartoonishly so

It's a small and welcome surprise Eric Adams hasn't had the idea yet

I've been talking about that for eight years straight: Gahndi did his little salty walk during the backdrop of MASSIVE unrest among the Indian regiments, Britain was losing control, there were better places to source goods and a war was brewing It was almost no skin off The Queens ass at that point

Naturally: When they look for positions in the glorious new socialist utopia that might come out of all of this they want to make sure they showed managerial skills

If it's a financial commodity I would like to issue for a return: This product was supposed to guarantee me a stable and somewhat higher than average lifestyle, and it simply hasn't. False Marketing is still a consumer protection thing, right?

I'm begging the American people to be able to track more than one issue simultaneously with equal, high level importance. Yes it's stressful, but these are in fact stressful times

It is a good time to remind everyone that The Internet Archive is a completely free online library that might contain such a book and others

Not only that, but if their own support for the greater good or against the greater evil is so fragile that reasonable suspicion or distrust from a group they've earned that from fractures it they don't even really support what they claim to.
comment in response to post
Why don't you fucking do something about it - and I DON'T mean roll out the fucking red carpet.
comment in response to post
I don't see how all of this isn't a massive violation of the Fourth Amendment considering they're just picking up anyone they *think* is illegal.
comment in response to post
Who the fuck does she think is HELPING ICE?
comment in response to post
I can't wait for this to filter up to the Supreme Court for them to find the Fourth Amendment to be Unconstitutional or some crazy shit.

Well, yeah - that's kind of the joke. Unfortunate knowledge gap
