US is a dumpster fire. Japan has beautiful and cheap real estate due to population decline, super clean, also has good education, a culture of respect, considerations for others - the choice is clear! To be fair: Japan also have pretty bad (worse) racism and sexism 😅

Hong Kong have these too, they’d have an entire store space where it’s just all different types of these machines. I’m a sucker for these, somehow getting a random one is more satisfying than just buying it at a store 🥲

Not to mention valuing education and actual experience over “o yet another college dropout who never had a job thinking he’ll change the world” 😛

Also why i think China is winning in innovations, the culture actively punishes people who overly exaggerates grandiose claims (US doesn’t do that), so people don’t look down on non-glamorous hard work that just gets real (maybe more incremental results).

> I often think SV often gets high on its own supply. You absolutely hit the nail on the head here. I would definitely agree with this. The incentive structures x investors with superficial understanding -> whatever sounds magical and grandiose

No, are you saying all this hype is just for “boilerplate code”?

I don’t think it’s good at supporting programming, it’s just good at finding documentation

I think It’s useful for looking up cpp functions i can never remember but the way ppl are using / talking about “vibe coding” is pretty concerning. Curious to see how the tech evolves to solve our most annoying coding process issues but it’s bad that ppl think software eng is just code output

In the past i was always curious in understanding how someone arrived at a vastly different conclusion. But since maybe 2016? I just concluded most ppl don’t actually “think” about their abhorrent positions… so across all social media, it’s just instant block. My instagram block is > 200 🤷🏻‍♀️

They sure love to portray protests as dangerous and violent, because that gives them an excuse to be violent with they lie that they are “protecting people against criminals” 😡

"A once great American City, Washington D.C, has been invaded and occupied by criminals." There. Fixed it.
