A regulator that seems to exist simply to allow water companies to inflate their charges whilst allowing them to continue to break the law by polluting. Meanwhile customers and the environment suffer. Disgusting.

Why do we put up with water companies that break the law and pollute the environment, then pay their managers and investors huge amounts, courtesy of us, the bill-payers? Because we've got no choice in a monopoly system and regulators don't do their jobs! Disgusting.

It rained heavily last night and so I woke up to find my river had turned dark grey/almost black with a sheen of oil stretching along its entire surface. Road run off really looks like the next sewage scandal in the making. We are allowing a cocktail of damaging chemicals to wash into our rivers.
