Congratulations on completing the marathon! I did the half marathon for Zarach and 13 miles was enough in the heat today! So amazing to see the true Headingley spirit on display cheering everyone on after the shock of last few weeks. The atmosphere was incredible!

I loved this episode. Very original storytelling in a way only Doctor who could achieve & at its heart a story about the magic of hope, stories, kindness & forgiveness. I think I will be rewatching this episode for years to come. Also why was Poppy there & is the fugitive dr in the doctor’s future?

Every time the bbc / itv have someone from Reform on they should have someone from the greens on as the media seems so biased at the moment.

8:00 ooh lucky day, I think this might be a fluffy, light, romantic filler episode 8:45 that was so dark. My heart has been racing so much. Millie was amazing. Me and my partner literally cheered when she said ‘go to hell!’ . 😆 However, has Mrs flood let Conrad out of prison ?

Really confused about how people could vote for Reform. Literally no one I know in Leeds has anything positive to say about them at all. It truly feels like inner city Leeds is a different country to pockets of reform countryside . Great to see the Greens doing well though @newsagents.bsky.social

I really don’t know how much you can take from this. As the previous Labour MP’s behaviour was abhorrent, it feels like an outlier instead of something that would happen across the country. Albeit, I am absolutely ashamed of our country voting in such a vile, abhorrent right wing party.

Thank you for reflecting the views of Headingley which I believe is a tolerant place where everyone is free to be themselves. The rally for trans rights in town last weekend was absolutely rammed showing the support in our city.

Totally agree with your statement. It’s such a shame some of your party are pandering to such backwards right wing views.

So many of my friends don’t drink as it’s just not culturally something we want to do. So many young people are turning away from drinking not just because they can’t afford to. People are preferring to go out for dessert, play games and exercise rather than go to the pub.

Never felt so tense while eating breakfast. I was expecting a kind of midnight sequel but it was exceptionally executed and had me at the edge of my sofa seat! What is Mrs Flood doing and what on earth has happened to earth and the human race?

It’s the 1st episode of 15 that I’ve felt genuinely frightened. The animation was creative and really well done. I wasn’t really sure of the whole ‘blink’ sequence but Mrs Flood brought even more questions. Ncuti and Varada were incredible and the music was amazing!

Honestly makes me so scared for Americans. The American agents podcast reminded me of the stories my grandad would tell me of the ussr killing his dad who was a journalist who spoke up for Hungary in the 1956 revolution.

Don’t normally disagree with Marina but I really can’t see the new HP series being successful. Most progressive people like myself won’t watch anything associated with JK Rowling while the right are complaining about a Black Snape over on twitter. I think it’s going to be a complete disaster for HBO

Ah the threat of nuclear apocalypse, jolly Monday evening listening 🤣

@lewisgoodall.com although Scunthorpe is obviously in the spotlight at the moment. It would be great to hear a more representative view of the UK. The vast majority live in cities not small towns & align with the views of the left & not Reform. Come to Leeds to our weekly Palestine protests 1 day!

Such a brilliant episode!

It would have been great if this episode was 1hr taking time to unpick Belinda’s backstory like talking to a friend about the past relationship as the just a couple of seconds proposal scene did feel a bit jarring. Why was the certificate still framed on her wall if it’s from such a bad relationship
comment in response to post
A lot darker and scarier than spaces babies for sure (and a lot better). Sets up the mysteries for the series very nicely. Really like Belinda; she’s very different to the enthusiasm and somewhat naivety of Ruby. Doctor who does adolescence! Really looking forward to the series!

I was 8 when Rose was 1st broadcast. I remember my mum buying the radio times which had an mini guide to the series & I immediately became obsessed even asking to cancel my 9th birthday meal out & eat in as it clashed with the broadcast of ‘the doctor dances’. I still love watching the series today

Really loved today’s podcast. Definitely inspired me to rewatch FOTJ at the weekend. If I were to recommend an episode for a future podcast it would be ‘City of death’. It’s definitely one of my favourites with so many iconic scenes and certainly has plenty of ‘camp or damp?’ Moments.

My nagypapa came over as a child Hungarian refugee in the 1956 revolution. He worked for over 40 years for Royal Mail as a postman and attended a c of e church twice a week. He would be so so offended to be called not English if he were alive today.

Inciting violence against women is not ‘free speech’.

It makes me sick to the stomach. This man is absolutely dangerous and an abomination of a human being who should be locked up for life. It makes me so afraid that children in my primary school have come out with Andrew Tate opinions that they have seen online. Honestly as a woman I feel very afraid.

I’m so excited for the new series! I subscribed nebula in the Christmas holidays and have rewatched every series from the beginning (including crime spree) without adverts so am very much looking forward to new content!

Honestly I really like the 7th Doctor and I feel it is a real shame we only got 3 series before the bbc cancelled Doctor who because the creativity and storytelling in episodes such as this is really good and I really do like Ace.
