Help me understand why we
need more lax ethics rules
allowing public servants
to potentially profit from decisions that should be
made for the public good, rather than factoring
disclosure/divestment of potential conflicts of interest during an election

As I mentioned above, I think this is a matter of DHS policy that will absolutely be handled in the courts. Lots of legal action underway, but it takes time and this administration's approach is to do as much damage as possible before a court can intervene.

As I understand it, DHS policy expands expedited removal, but that doesn't necessarily make it legal.
What are you specifically referring to?

He also used the land cleared by the fire for a palace. For more fun, Nero funded Rome's reconstruction by levying taxes and reducing the silver content of the denarius, leading to Rome's first inflation which persisted through its demise

Well I just went down the rabbit hole... I was confused why all data was being routed through one bus away rather than distributed directly, but I didn't realize OBA is 1. a hometown project and 2. a 501(c). Neat

I totally get that, and there are lots of obstacles for individuals to make a difference with our limited resources. It's really important to chose the path of least harm, though.

Yes, 50 people in one vehicle is better for the environment than 50 people in 50 vehicles.

Ideally, he could cover the bulk of the distance on a much more environmentally friendly mode than EV or ICE like a bus or train and then you could pick him up for the short distance in your personal vehicle.

EV credits would help, but the US is eliminating them to protect Elon's market share. You have all the facts at your disposal, but running to the internet for validation of selfish choices is a tried-and-true method of avoiding personal accountability I suppose

I think this is an interesting take on conversion, but worry without a holistic downtown revitalization plan that brings jobs of all levels, the area will not shift from commuter-spending to self-sustaining.
Without adequate jobs, conversions could turn quickly to slums.
