So you’re not a Lenin guy, you’re not a Kerensky guy and you’re not a Czar guy. What guy are you in the Russian 1917 political compass?

A little hard to get rid of your monarchy without a revolution or weaken their power without the threat of one.

You’re a monarchist?

So the February revolution was ok, but not the October one?

I’m not denying the occurrence of a civil war taking place, but I am questioning how is Lenin’s leadership less democratic than George Washington? You know, the point of this interaction? How is power established after a revolution? How is the electoral college more valid than the soviets?

I’ll listen to criticism from anarchists but not from the whites. Again, 14 countries invaded.

The Russian “civil war” involved the invasion of Russia by 14 countries. I don’t think it’s an indictment on the legitimacy of Lenin’s rule as opposed to Washington.

No, I mean Washington. Given there was a civil war later, Washington’s rule wasn’t ironclad. My bad analogy is as good as yours, that’s my point.

So, considering the American civil war, George Washington didn’t have the monopoly on the people’s want?

What legitimized the government that was abolished? Was Kerensky also a dictator?

The Bolsheviks didn’t create the worker councils that elected him. The soviets were created before the establishment of the Bolshevik party.

I’m just waiting for the endgame of this conversation where they try to tell us how the electoral college that elected George Washington is any more democratic than the worker councils.

Please refer to Marx’s concept of Gattungswesen or being/essence or human essence. The father of scientific socialism did indeed consider human nature.

Quibbling over ‘has the concentration camp has turned genocidal’ is proof we live in a healthy society.
