It’s hard not to worry - last time we could have had Wiley and we got a criminal! I don’t know if ranked choice voting works in NYC 🙄

I generally vote on Election Day because my polling place is across the street. Early voting is a schlep. I have my fingers crossed but I’m worried the alternative votes to AC are splintered between too many people.

I haven’t voted yet. We’re only allowed to rank 5 right? So you’re saying you didn’t put him in at all right?

Under no circumstances rank Cuomo! None.

No, I think you’re right, I think the Nixon admin deleted them (but I was 12!) It wasn’t The NY Times, I just learned the expression there!

Perfect sentence except I would add an expletive. Sadly I learned the word expletive from this newspaper in their heyday reporting on Watergate. “Expletive deleted” comprised about 50% of their transcripts of recordings of Nixon and his henchmen. Now instead of deleting expletives they delete news.

I’m so sorry and completely understand. You have lost a beloved family member. It’s so difficult.

You sure you’ll be able to get one without a prescription? I’m trying to figure that out but I can’t get past the paywalls. I’m an RNA - MD’s are skittish. They may not be able to prescribe it without FDA approval. And when you walk into CVS to get one there is a covering MD prescribing it.

Where I agree with you is that MAGA doesn’t see the irony in the song. They are so fucking dopey. But what can you expect from that crew of bozos that torment LGBTQ people and then turn YMCA into their anthem?

I guess I just think that Springsteen loves the United States of America and its potential. The song takes that love and puts an ironic spin on it, because of political and corporate corruption but it still aches with the haunting promise of what America could be if we took care of each other.

It is patriotic. Bruce is patriotic! He’s just not a nationalist. He loves his country despite her flaws. He just doesn’t ignore them like these crazy MAGAs.

I wouldn’t trust the veracity of anyone who labeled this little guy a “monkey.” Who knows what the real story is…

Generally in meals of this nature, the flat disk should be procured from an animal that appears to be deceased.

Staying up all night to type a paper only to discover two hours before it’s due that you forgot to type that paragraph scribbled in the margin of page 4 of your handwritten draft and having to type the last six pages all over again…ah college in the late 70’s…

Be brave! I just had both shots, six weeks apart. Felt a little yucky - not bad at all. DTaP made my arm more sore and Covid first shot made me feel more flu-ish. I’ve never had Shingles but it’s way more scary than a couple of days of vaccine side effects!

I grew up in the 1970’s and the teenagers of my time feared being sent to an unjust war in Vietnam or to jail. Those were the alternatives they faced.

How about the effing 3/5ths clause of the Constitution? What Trump has revealed in his first 100 days is that the rot that was there at the founding of our country has only metastasized and corrupted the whole enterprise.

Exactly my sentiments. Talk to someone who grew up in the Jim Crow South about whether or not you had to fear our government!

It failed because Pelosi was Speaker and Pence was VP. Are you sure it would have failed with Johnson as Speaker and Vance as VP?

A lot of people have already been hurt. A lot of people will be hurt. Some will be physically tortured. Some will be emotionally tortured. Some will die. And there’s no guarantee a midterm election will stop any of this. So “be cool” seems quite cavalier.

I’m a 67 year old woman who’s been riding NYC subways alone since I was 12 and rode them to school. I have never been the victim of a crime nor have I witnessed a crime. No one I know has been the victim of a crime. I’m sure with millions of riders every day shit happens, but this hysteria is bs

As we head into a future of decreased regulation of the formula industry and decreased vaccinations for the general public breastfeeding can help protect your baby. (2/2)

As a lactation consultant my advice would be, if you’re able to breastfeed for at least a year it would be a good idea. Even if for some reason you can’t exclusively breastfeed, nursing helps
strengthen your infant’s immune system and eliminates or decreases their exposure to formula. (1 /2)

A microscope helps clarify details you would otherwise miss without close examination. Nothing this House does will be clarifying. It’s a ridiculous headline.
