I hope you're right.

Even the republicans ought to be calling for his impeachment by now.

True, but that might wind up with them facing court martial. It’d be good if there’s a way to refuse unlawful orders & not be court martialed for it.

You don’t fire legal advisors for being "in the way" unless you plan to go around the law which has been pretty obvious up to this point.

Ok, apparently this was 5 years ago 🙄
Still seems like a good option though

Maybe they can join in on the dancing like the national guard did in Atlanta, Georgia.

And the rest of congress who voted for him. Being a Republican shouldn’t be an excuse for approving someone so dangerously unqualified. Regardless of party, they all should have known better.

Both were sanctioned. The dad lost his medical license and the son was charged with practicing medicine without a license. Both should have gone to jail and should not be anywhere near children and should not be trusted with anything about autism (or anything at all).

Ted Cruz lie? What a surprise…

Instead we’re pretending there’s no such thing as COVID anymore.

If he’s banning masks at ICE protests, shouldn’t he start by banning ICE from wearing them?

Speaking of which, this seems like a very good reason for members of congress from California (and from anywhere if they disagree with this overreach) to impeach Trump for saying he's going to call the National Guard and possibly the Marines against US citizens.

Not sure about this case, but at a bunch of Home Depots, there are people hanging out in the Home Depot parking lot that are basically day laborers that are waiting to see if someone wants to hire them to do some manual labor for the day and pay them cash. At least some are probably undocumented.

of course, there are also some members of congress who ought to be disqualified for the same reason. that might be part of why they didn't bother to use the 14th amendment to keep him out of office. it could've (should've) also kept some MAGA members of congress out of office.

Interesting. So apparently Colorado tried to keep him off the ballot because of insurrection, but the Supreme Court said states couldn't do it; only congress could; congress didn't bother. amendment says disqualified can only take office if 2/3 vote of congress (doesn't say they have to make a law)

So what does that mean exactly? If protesters remain peaceful and ICE, the National Guard, and/or the Marines go in and do stuff that is violent, will LAPD protect the civilians against them? (I doubt it, but if LAPD is really devoted to protecting all Angelenos like it says in that statement...)

That is f'd up. Can the Marines refuse?

Any chance "appropriate sanctions" can include kicking her out of the office of US Attorney General and taking away her law license?

This is so messed up.

This make me absolutely heartsick. Surely, it can't be legal to take away legal status once it has been granted. Where is the Supreme Court on this...there needs to be a lawsuit NOW!

Russell Vought and Stephen Miller are extremely dangerous men. They’re also those “deep state” unelected bureaucrats the right-wing has been screaming about and accusing every civil servant and Democratic appointee of being. Trump/MAGA/GOP accusations are always projection and a confession.

I don’t trust them to do it right. They won’t just “modernize” it. They’ll f*** it up.

If it’s Musk, he can start with using some of his money to actually do good (feed the hungry, house the homeless, get healthcare for more people, etc.) & undo whatever he still has access to of DOGE’s dismantling of everything. Definitely do not just take him back in unless & until he repairs things

This book is on my list of ones I plan to read, and my public library has a copy (that I asked them to buy). Our library has a feature where the library catalog scrolls through the covers of recently added books, and I keep seeing this book’s very striking & beautiful cover, reminding me to read it.

Thank you for the reminder. They keep putting it up a little early so it ought to be up a in a little while (since they keep putting it up Thursday nights instead of making us wait into Friday).

Not a fan of Steve Bannon, but I do love the idea of some of Musk’s behavior coming back to bite him in the ass.

Now that Trump and Musk are fighting, maybe you’ll get another chance at making Musk come answer some questions.

I saw on TV what happened. The feds were suing TX, and TX asked the judge to side with the DOJ (so basically threw the case). That’s how it got done when the TX legislature has already ended their session.
