I’ve come across “alcopop” before but definitely only in a UK context. Meanwhile I just tried to google it [Spelling Bee does accept “google”], mistyped, and got this helpful information

On the contrary, AI has actually made the process of doing this sort of thing for oneself worse because when you search for venues, itineraries, bakeries etc. some growing percentage of the results are now fake

Would love to know the literal sequence of steps that resulted in this. It looks like the last 5 are real (and old) so it seems someone manually assembled it from a generated list plus an actual list?

What I really wonder about is turnout in an election that’s not a foregone conclusion (as the last 3 have been, with <30% turnout). Really don’t see Sliwa getting the same 27% of an engaged electorate

Just going to keep harping on this whenever it comes up: Having a bunch of your teachers, friends, and family members die is ALSO pretty bad for kids’ mental health! Maybe more so than having to do remote school!

IIRC on the inner pages it would list all the dates/times each movie was airing, and for the big hits there would be a dozen options... but there were always a couple you wanted to see that just aired once at 1:30 AM or something. This is how a generation learned about VCR programming
