I am not at all a CPC supporter but anyone who is being honest understands the difference between actively investing in a company and passively owning shares as part of an index fund. It’s completely disingenuous to pretend they’re equivalent.

How many fucking times is someone going to tweet out some variation of the below, as though it’s a) at all appropriate to speculate about, and b) 10,000 other morons haven’t already shared the same asinine thought

Same, I’m super excited for it!

Like all the other Canadians commenting, I won’t spend a cent in the US for at least the next four years, probably longer. It sucks, many past trips and good memories there, but the relentless annexation threats make you quickly reorient your priorities

Can these dismissals be legally challenged when the reason given is almost explicitly stated as “so they won’t impede legally questionable orders in the future”?

Just post about My Old Ass again for an online simulacrum

It really is. I truly have no idea how you work to remedy this when we increasingly do not have a shared reality with a large swath of society. Reason doesn’t work when they can reject the entire premise of any evidence put forward. It’s a dire issue.

That would be a weird thing to argue

Ridiculous comparison

Genuinely wondering at what point our government will start dramatically ramping up military spending and procurement on an emergency basis. At this point it feels woefully negligent not to start that process immediately

Sentiment in Canada right now is one of overwhelming anger and offence at Trump’s aggression, so this is largely driven by political considerations (like everything he says and does).

It’s this or Martha My Dear

There’s just no way to tell if that plays any actual role or is just the pretext needed to impose emergency measures.

Is the expectation that Feb 1 would be tariffs lower than 25%, or focused on specific exports? Then April 1 would potentially be 25% on everything? Or the full 25% in Feb and something even worst come April?

You’re still kinda being sarcastic and glib and it makes me wonder if you actually understand why people don’t find this sort of thing to be very funny to “joke” about?

I’m not sure it’s fair to judge someone based on their appearance, but this guy sure just physically looks like a loathsome, awful person

Also calls him a "certified pedophile" which i think fits the bill!

Is that ostensibly why he’s framing this as being about border issues, which seems a little bizarre when it comes to Canada in particular?

Did you get the email??

My basement also has low ceilings and so I’ve never bought a treadmill. But you’re giving me something to consider here…

Well, “David Cone bullpen” did the trick. Had never heard this one before.

Did David Cone once got caught jacking off in the bullpen? I was going to google this instead of asking, but I’m not entirely sure what search terms to enter.
