Contact lenses are where it's at. I'll never forget the first time I wore them, like having new eyes! I left the opticians and walked thru the high street just gawping at everything like I just arrived from Mars!

Rubber timing belt inside the engine bathing in hot/cold oil. They can crack and disintegrate, even on quite new, low mileage cars. I found out about this the hard and very expensive way. 😒

Just don't get anything with a damn wet belt engine!

One chord, the whole song. Bloody genius to pull that off and make a such great song out of it. 🤘

And a few decades later from Hayes to Northolt. See the Target Pub all boarded up at 7m50s preparing for it's fate which is now commonplace, becoming a McDonalds. youtu.be/rg1BLLdncpQ?...

Found it! It was mostly about the A40 Westway, but there's a section about Gilda Court in the report at around 3:30. He actually paid £2k for his flat in 1962! youtu.be/nOIRjYUrhZc?...

There is a another video on YouTube in which one of the Gilda Court residents is complaining that he paid £3k for his flat which it will never be worth again now that the flyover is there (it's worth around 100x that now). I couldn't find it this time, maybe it'll pop up again sometime..

Damn! I'm gonna be at least 0.0000001p out of pocket if this keeps up..

I don't remember the last time I called a large company or organisation and didn't hear that old chestnut..

Clockwork radios and cash. 2 things we should learn from yesterday. If it happened here tho, I expect to see people carrying sacks full of loo roll again tho..

I usually comment on them, so I can find them again later if I want to. I'll have a dig thru them later, see what other ones are there 👍

We did a 21hr bus journey from Lima to Cusco once. Yes, absolutely glad we went there on the bus. The sights were mind blowing (and sometimes terrifying). On the way back tho, I was wishing we took the plane!

And here's that glorious old film of it when it was the final pitstop before you get on the M1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcQc...

I went to see this a couple of years ago. I'd like to go again one day, it was so good. The young lady who plays Tina blew us away with her singing! 🤘

Ah Totoly! I read that too fast. Well played 😁

Cheers! I'll upload the full video later. Originally, I used the audio from the drum module. Oli sent me the midi data, but the mapping was a bit of a mess. I had a bit of fun fixing and remixing last night 😁

I used to live in an 8th floor flat. Some idiot from one of the floors above (I never found out who) threw a lit cigarette out of their window, which flew into my kitchen window and landed in my laundry basket. I just happened to walk into the kitchen at that moment. #1 most stupid thing I ever saw

This thing has been literally bugging the hell out of me for some time now, but I put up with it cos it sounds so damn good. Hopefully this update finally sorts all that out.

The article says a year costs £180 if I'm self employed. Most recent is 2012-2013, I was self employed then and it says £348. Some older ones I was employed and it's £848. Not sure if it's actually worth it because in 11 years time I'll be all paid up anyway. I certainly won't be retired by then.

I did a few gigs in there back in the 90s. Shame, another one bite ls the dust 😔

I worked at Anchor Glass in about 1992. The part of Endeavour house next to us was a perfume factory. Their line manager often popped into our workshop for a cuppa tea and a banter. We could smell him coming!

Oh cool, we had our own famous(ish) Ayrton! We just need a Prost Corner and a Schumacher's chip shop and we got the whole set 🤟

I'm guessing it'll be based on the RevX that they make as plug-ins. I use the RevX reverb in my DAW and it's just beautiful!

Done quite a few gigs in there in 90s.

Racing driver Justin Wilson set up a Scheduled "Happy New Year" tweet before his tragic accident in 2015. It was still tweeting it every year until recently.

Bloody amazing that you could go play original music in London & so many people would come to see you, that eventually the venue couldn't afford you! Since 90's you have to pay the venue to play original music & if you're lucky, you might cover yer costs by bringing yer mates.

This guy's channel is well worth a follow. He does some really amazing restorations. The clarity and detail he manages to achieve is really incredible. He clearly makes a lot of effort to make the audio sound authentic as possible too.
