It's hard to credit MAGA with ignorance. If they were ignorant they'd sometimes accidentally choose less evil over more evil, but no. No matter where you set them, no matter how many times you spin them around, their moral compasses point with unerring certainty toward maximum atrocity and cruelty.

Strom Thurmond would have cheerfully seen Cory Booker lynched just for thinking he could vote, let alone run for senate, be elected, and take his seat there. Strom couldn't stop the Civil Rights Act, he couldn't stop the Voting Rights Act, and he couldn't stop a Black man from breaking his record

The immigration laws in the US are not, for the most part, designed to keep people out. They're designed to create a precariousness that allows for exploitation on a subset of the population. This benefits certain people (employers in certain sectors) but is not good for the country or immigrants.

circle cat recommends napping instead. circle cat says focus isn't for days like today, it's for nights when it's time to play fetch.

I always read the acknowledgements! it makes me feel warm and fuzzy to see all the love and support people have for each other. I also especially like it when people thank their pets.
