Yes, along with an amazing network of footpaths and bridleways, usually with a pub along the way.

There isn't a cat's chance in hell he is leaving office at the end of this second term. None.

Doesn't belong in rugby

That was shameful behaviour from the Sharks. The sort of thing you'd expect to see in football. IMO it brings rugby into disrepute.

Arseholes. My wife works in academia. She has had a real terms pay cut in each of the last eight years. She gets allocated a pitiful amount of time for marking so often ends up doing this in her own time. Labour are falling into a populist trap rather than fighting for what is right.

Dorian, are you researching a new Origin Story by any chance?

It is an emergency. He needs to show the nation he understands the gravity of the situation. He needs to spell out the choices and then he needs to provide a vision. Time to be bold.

The impression is that we're desperately trying to hide from reality. Freezing behind flimsy cover hoping not to be picked off next. How is that a way to run the nation?

The thing is, this presents an opportunity to partner with Canada and Europe in a common United cause. Could Brexit have anything to do with our 'rabbit in the headlights' response do you think?

Instead Starmer makes snide remarks to the effective leader of the opposition Ed Davey.

Welby, you felt overwhelmed? You should have handed over and resigned immediately because even with God on your side you were wholly inadequate. Heck, you were not even adequate on a human level.

It would be sensible to keep them at arms length at all times. We are seeing in real time how vulnerable the US democracy is. We can't allow ourselves to be fooled again.

Spoiler alert: we won't be prepared. Austerity does not allow for preparedness.

The only time NATO article 5 has ever been invoked was in support of the USA following the 9/11 attack. The UK and others stood alongside our ally. We reorganised our military and our economy to support the USA in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then the Trump/Vance administration stabbed NATO in the back.

I have been impressed with the Lib Dems and Davey. I was hugely put off by that Facebook turd.

Same applies for the impending cuts to welfare and the civil service.

My last major purchase was a mountain bike, made out of Steel in the UK by a UK company. I could have bought a plastic (carbon) one from a US brand, made in China but no, fuck that.

@sianberry.bsky.social as my MP can you raise this with the Sec of State for Health? Surely not a good idea given the behaviour of the Starlink CEO?

Most knew what you meant Alex. He certainly has a gift, he is also not demented or in accelerated cognitive decline as many have claimed. He may not have academic or book-smart intelligence but he is no fool. He is also ruthless, cruel and vindictive. He may be unstoppable.

The fucking idiots who voted for it didn't have the foresight or imagination to see how exposed it would leave the UK and they didn't give a shit that it would also weaken our neighbours.

I get the need to engage diplomatically. But as citizens we could all use some reassurances that UKG and EU recognise this is an emergency, and that we are taking steps to wean off US tech, military equipment and infrastructure. I do not see evidence that this is the case. We appear to be frozen.
