So many times this. A golden opportunity to escape the self imposed fiscal straight jacket and raise taxes has been neglected. Cutting the development budget will lead to more instability, more misery, less security. We could have opted to maintain our influence at a time when the USA retreats.

Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, Microsoft subscriptions cancelled in January. TV licence obtained. BBC may not be perfect but it is head and shoulders above any US corporation.
