and immigrants, and it appears you have not once denounced this or realized the real harm your posts have done. I hope it's equally obvious why this is pretty upsetting...

You can choose not to attend and I understand the concerns, but your posts also caused many people to attack the immigrants hosting this or be rude and aggressive, causing a need for security. Additionally you have people creating conspiracies in the comments about the hosts, who are real people...

find resources, or have a safe space. Attacking events like these keeps immigrants in harm's way without realizing it.

They were more scared of people like y'all trying to do something than Trumpers. That's worth thinking about. But, had there been an issue, con staff would've dispersed the event earlier. It is a dangerous place for immigrants, and it's far more dangerous if they can't meet other immigrants,

I agree, but they have no means to actually do much of anything here since it would be terribly hard to identify people and they did have con staff watching- but moreso watching for people with backlash. The post that OP originally cited that's deleted was the post con staff showed to the hosts...

Plus if y'all aren't immigrants, it comes off as really tasteless to tell immigrants not to attend an event hosted by immigrants for immigrants
comment in response to post
Most of the comments are accusing the people hosting or being kinda mean to them even though it would take very little effort (looking them up) to figure out they're immigrants themselves

immigrant furs so that they can rely on each other in times like this and help each other because they have the most expérience)

"But that’s not what I was aiming to do, something like 'international furries' or so will bring everyone from everywhere and dilute the community that I was really targeting with this panel" (my friend is an immigrant himself and wants to help spread ressources and build a community of...

I thought this was a good idea and brought it up to my friend who was one of the hosts of this. He agreed that making it could bé a good idea but also said (1/2)

because you're just helping the wrong side by doing so.

they're well intended. Immigrants need safe spaces, they need places for resources to be shared. If you're worried and you're not an immigrant, attend these events as a supporter, ensure people's safety, make sure there's a large audience. But don't attack the immigrants who are trying to help...

in the dark. This is exactly what they want. Maybe a friend of Dorothy situation would've been better like one commenter said, but I know one of the hosts and can confirm this was planned for a while. Comments like these are ignorant and cause even worse harm to these communities even if...

immigrants, where they can share resources and meet one another, because there could be a trap. Thing is, if immigrants don't know people or resources or HOW the system works, that's when things become the hardest for them. By preventing these spaces, were helping conservatives to keep immigrants...

I know one of the hosts who is an immigrant from Brazil and can assure you it was not a trap but I see the fear 😭
comment in response to post
Y'all are attacking the immigrants (I know one of them) who hosted this for trying to create a safe space for immigrants during trying times, like y'all know you're giving the conservatives EXACTLY what they want right? You're creating fear, you're allowing people to be isolated and without help...

sequels to ABOSAS and Mockingjay, respectively. Although I guess there's not as much of a story to write after Mockingjay, but I'm still interested in the world building and to see what happens, even if it's a short story. I don't read much fiction, but this series is genuinely one of my favorites!!

it honestly scares me how the older I get the more realistic the hunger games seem. Each year it seems like a more probable future for our country and the events in it seem to parallel the world we are becoming. I do hope that this is not the last book in the series, as I would like to see...

But for us, knowing that the hunger games appears to take place in an alternate North America, likely in a futuristic, dystopian US, that date strikes a different chord. Collins is genuinely such an amazing fucking author and I'm so excited to read the rest of this book. That being said,

She also reveals the date of the reaping, which was previously not mentioned to my knowledge (I could be wrong, it's been a while!) When's the date you ask? July 4. Again, not forced, but casually and nonchalantly mentioned. In the world of the hunger games, this is the significance of that date...

It's also very clear that she is making subtle points of protest in the book. She subtly discusses how a character is gay, and while it's not a main character, it's not forced inclusion for the sake of appeal, it's genuine and interesting to the character's relation to Haymitch...

Especially when I see "Outed Zoophile," try to Google it/search on here or Twitter, and find nothing. I still try to avoid these people out of abundance of caution, but if there is a mistake I wouldn't be able to report it and if there isn't lots of people are gonna be left without proper knowledge.

limitations of the app, but I really hope the app releases an update that would allow this kind of information to be shared so that it's easier to avoid icky people.

make mistakes. Open zoophiles are usually easy to avoid by seeing the tag and checking the bio/recent posts, boom done, but outed zoophiles or "interacts/supports zoophiles" I don't really know how that's calculated or how much proof is needed. It's a really great tool, and these are probably...
