Thanks! I didn’t realize that was a troll post. Still learning on here.

I don’t understand your response to my post. You seem like you would be a supportive person, so I am not sure why you would reply to me with curse words.

I am still so heartbroken.

I know under the incoming administration this situation will get worse, not better. I am furious we are where we are.

We clearly need the millions of undocumented immigrants who work in our economy every day. Allowing the situation to continue as is with them lingering in limbo is not sustainable.
I believe immigration makes us a stronger country. We have to fix this system so people have paths to citizenship.

I want fighters. I want them to stand up for us like Rep Jasime Crockett or AOC.

Does he feel this way about circumcising baby boys? That is permanently altering them before they can consent or know the full consequences.

Hopefully, the lessons I take from his book pay off. We need to be vocal about what we do support.
We need to be out there fighting FOR the things we want.
That’s my goal for 2025. I am fighting FOR the future I want.

My (supposedly liberal) Seattle Nextdoor app has a thread going on right now about proposed zoning changes. I stepped out of my non-confrontational comfort zone to post that I agreed with the zoning changes.
We need more options here to provide a wider range of types of housing for people.

Or, let’s not. Instead, let’s ask her how she feels about her ally Assad falling.

It is incredibly expensive to be poor. This is such a perfect example of how it works.

Houston gets hit regularly with terrible weather. I used to live in Dallas so remember the stories. It seems like you would factor that into living there.

A bit hyperbolic? The entire state of Louisiana or the entire state of Georgia being relocated? All of Houston, get out of here with that nonsense.
Within cities and communities there are flood prone areas. There are regions more apt to be swept away in a hurricane. Let’s be realistic here.

Exactly! Now they want the government to fix the problem for them. The market says “this place is uninsurable” and they cry for help but will vote for Republicans every day of the week.

We’re a long way off from everywhere becoming inhospitable due to climate.
There are certain areas that are more prone to natural disasters right now. If people choose to live there, their insurance costs go up or they are uninsurable. It’s basic economics.

Instead of FEMA funding rebuilding in areas that are prone to disaster, provide funds to move. We need to be realistic about where people can live and stop supporting people living in places that are increasingly inhospitable.

Honestly, it should cost a premium to insure homes in these areas. They are at risk for more destruction with future weather events. People who choose to live there need to bear some of the burden of that risk.

I am so glad I saw your response. I’ve been struggling with empathy since the election. I have felt just “done” with everyone and over it all.
I am screenshotting your response as a reminder for when I need it. It’s such a beautiful perspective, very important. Thank you.

More leftovers and more people around to give them food = more food for the pups!
It’s the most magical time of year for everyone in the house! 🐶🐶

It seems like there would be a stronger case if the plaintiff had more of a unique style or aesthetic. These women are buying and promoting mass-market products off of Amazon.
It’s like buying all of your clothes at The Gap in the 1990s and then complaining that people are copying you.
