Correct! With the recent arrests of Democrat politicians, ICE now meets all five criteria for identifying a secret police force: theconversation.com/how-ice-is-b...

I published this article in late May (before the arrest of Mayor Baraka in Newark). It evaluates ICE against the five criteria used to classify secret police forces - theconversation.com/how-ice-is-b... By itself this latest operation ticks two of the five boxes. They are a secret police force.

How do you code Chad's Idriss Deby? What a way to go for a dictator.

In Australia, you wake up to bad news from America everyday. You dread opening Bluesky out of fear of what the orange clown has done now.

Authoritarian regimes use pre-emptive repression of this kind to deter the masses from later mobilizing against them. Further, it is a core responsiblity of secret police forces. With Baraka's arrest, ICE now meets every criteria to be defined as such - theconversation.com/how-ice-is-b...

I have an op-ed coming out soon that argues ICE is becoming a secret police force. Which is not a claim I make lightly.

If the bureaucracy only gives the dictator good news then it is an extension of Wintrobe’s dilemma. What a fool to believe this nonsense.
