You might be the one person in the world I get to listen to the new Deep Purple album, '=1'. Really good and sleazy. It's the 70s line up (Ian Gillen sang for Black Sabbath for a while) and a new guitar whizz who appears to be having the time of his life. Great stuff.

I got my annual BBC WR rejection this week, and was reminded of a few years ago, a guy going off at them on twitter saying he was going to use a FoI request to find out the reader's names. People.

Had them in our walls and loft, resorted to lethal traps after the humane ones didn't work. The thing that shit me up researching it is, there's a tipping point where they go from nest to a *colony* and breed out of control. So if you'd like I can come round and strangle them with my bare hands?

This is next on our list actually - 10yo has seen the others, he's fairly indifferent to them lol. Maybe machinegunning a room full of Nazis will capture his interest?

They have arrived and I am very happy with them.

Have... have you seen the film Conclave? If not watch immediately and then re-read your post.

Tomorrow you will effortlessly skip up a kerb with the grace of Fred Astaire, and then later dodge a branch as if you were Muhammad Ali.

It's a funny film though, right? Cardinal Fiennes rushing from dilemma to dilemma, picking up secrets, dressing down the candidates - one particularly brutal "you will never be the pope". Gud film, recommended.

The *superb* BBC doc series on the golden age players describes a 16/17yo Stephen Hendry being taken to exhibition tours in Hong Kong with that lot. The things he must have seen.

Deep Purple released a cracking album last year called '=1', featuring most of the original band members (and a younger ringer guitarist but he's great). A real stream of pop/rock/sleaze/solos. Also: Bowie's The Next Day, and Blackstar are exceptional.

While I do not enjoy them so much, the production is a fascinating thing. The new ILM doc series on Disney has a whole episode on TPM, with some candid retrospective stuff. Plenty of that old footage of Lucas walking into rooms full of people pulling their hair out too.

Your TV needs tuning.

It's a similar experience to trying to find anything on the internet from, say, 2018.

His girlfriend is naked too, there's the whole Biggus Dickus scene, the "You were raped?!" "Well at first" scene, another oral sex joke where the mum gets down on her knees, a stoning, and the whole thing ends on a hill full of crucifixions. A 12 at least.

This was the only scene we skipped (same - 10yo who loved it). Was prepared though. I think the rest is fine actually? Life of Brian a definite no...

Purple Tree miracle balm is no longer a thing, apparently. Bought a huge job lot months ago but running out. Devastated. Going to have a glow down.

Ah sticks. We got a new umbrella stand a while back. Guess what's in it instead of umbrellas?

I passed up on a Pixar Popemobile in an antiques shop recently but apparently they're quite rare? Would have been an interesting addition to my little Shelf of Movie Tat.

Paris... low expectations...what? It's an incredible place. Crime and dog shit sure, but easy to avoid.
