Sure, Yakuza 3 might've aged like milk in the hot sun, but its story is a crucial point in Kiryu's characterization, and it has some of the best characters (Rikyia my beloved) and the second best antagonist (nobody's overtaking my boy Kuze)

I started with Y0 back in like 2017, and it's quickly become one of my favorite franchises. I love dame dame man.

I've read that they added a Tony Hawk tease in one of the new CoD maps. This might actually happen.

Streamed this a few months ago. Just make sure not to watch it unless you've already played it because it's a full playthrough.

Yeah I really like that my love for exploration in games is finally paying off. There's little hidden secrets everywhere you look 😁

Avowed (still going through it), Indiana Jones, Pentiment, and Hellblade 2.
All of them except Pentiment at launch.
I played tons of other non-first party games through GP though, so for me it's been more than worth it.

Oh that makes more sense. I usually avoid most social media sites cause they seems like toxic cesspools from the outside, but I like Bluesky cause it's a bit more mellow regarding that aspect.

For a second I thought you meant the metal band, and I was really confused.

Yeah just play it as blind as you can, don't look ANYTHING up. It's personally one of the highlights of 2024 for me, amazing game.

I've been playing it these past couple of days and I'm honestly enjoying the hell out of it, but it's totally fine if you're not feeling it! No game is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, so don't feel "guilty" for not vibing with it as much as other people.

Played a couple of hours on stream yesterday and I think it's fantastic so far. I love the freedom of exploration and I'm surprised to say I'm quite enjoying the combat, seeing how Obsidian are not really known for being able to make a good combat system.

You can, it's the U key on the keyboard. Not sure about controller though

Oh, that's cool! I've seen Howl and Kiki, didn't know they were adapted from existing stories.

Did Ghibli ever do any adaptations of existing media? I've seen some of their movies but I'm not super familiar with the studio.

Yeah I know LG actually spoils Y7 to some extent, but I wanna play them back to back, which is why I'm waiting to be up to date with the Yakuza games.

Oh yeah I actually did play a bit of the first one and it seems a lot of fun, but I put it down until I finish all the Yakuza games

He did, it's just that it was so big, the director thought that the viewers would think it was unrealistic, so he had to use someone with a smaller one lmao

Can't wait for it to release on Game Pass tomorrow. I have a feeling I'll sink at least 100 hours into this one.

Not me with over 500 hours in Binding of Isaac, and still failing 9 out of 10 runs 😭

Graphics are the last thing I look for in a video game. Hell, pixelart is one of my favorite art styles in games and it's an automatic plus if a game uses it.

Oh I'm actually going through Ishin rn, but I don't think I'll finish it. It plays like a Kiwami engine game, but it's made in Unreal, so a lot of things just feel...off, I guess? I'm really not vibing with it, for some reason.

Oh goddamnit, you're right. Then I also have the Judgment series after I'm done with the Yakuza games, and there's also the new Project Century game they're developing. Christ, I'll never be able to catch up to these games, am I?

Yeah I play on PC as well and played the first one on Steam. I'm pretty sure you can freeplay after the ending, that's how I remember it being in the first one, so you might as well focus on the story first and then get all the collectables.

I played quite a bit of the first one and I remember really enjoying it. Also, the second one is a direct sequel, so I recommend playing the first one first, yeah.

Did you play the demo? I played it the other day and it was really fun. I'm just bummed I won't be able to get through it for at least another year, since I still have to get through Yakuza 7 and 8 lol

Man, I loved the Ori games. Didn't get to finish the second one because I played it though Game Pass and my sub ran out before I could finish it and couldn't renew it at the time, sadly.

I remember playing this back in the day when it came out, and I just remember it wasn't that good. Just remember not being really invested in it, playing for a few hours and then dropping it. Hope you're having a better time with it than I did haha 😅

I finished 6 recently and now I'm taking a break from the main series to do Ishin, but it's a hell of a grind lol.

I agree about 1080p, but honestly, after getting a 144hz monitor, I can't really go back to 60fps. The difference is very noticeable.

PC for me, since that's what I grew up with. I had a PS2 as a teenager that I used to play from time to time, and then I bought a PS4 Pro in 2019 for the exclusives, right before Sony started releasing them on PC as well. So my PS4 hasn't been touched in over 2 years now.
