"According to the U.S. Census, Prevost's mother, the late Mildred Martinez, was the mixed-race daughter of Black property owners, the Haitian-born Joseph Martinez and New Orleans native Louise Baquié, a Creole." (National Catholic Reporter).

Yes, I have. It was fantastic. I too, learned so much. I actually posted comments about it awhile ago. He always brings such clarity to political issues.

I'm on the last chapter. Took me to school about the laws I thought I knew and entertained me with his insight and language...yes, all of his language. (-: Perfection!

That's exactly what I was going to say. Thanks for saying it for me!

Just started Chapter 4! Pure Eli Mystal...just what I hoped for.

I try to balance between both genres. Coincidentally, just finished your latest, Crook Manifesto. Really enjoyed it. I've read just about all your books, btw. So thank you for all that. Now just starting my new nonfiction, Bad Law by Eli Mystal.

Just got my signed copy delivered! I'm all set for my weekend read. Since loving Allow Me to Retort, I had hoped you would right another book. Thanks for hearing my silent plea.

Elie, seems like you have a young Elie in your presence. You better buckle up! (-:

Someone who has apparently hacked your Twitter account has you selling some kind of America Coin. I'm so happy to follow you with my Nation subscription and on BlueSky. And...I just got an email that my signed copy of your new book is on the way to my home!

Eagerly awaiting my signed copy I preordered a few weeks ago.

Here is Nintendo Lego set I built which has a crank and makes Mario jump over obstacles. Very cool!

Done! And eagerly awaiting for my signed copy of his new book that's coming soon.

Already preordered my copy of Bad Law last week! I truly enjoyed Allow Me to Retort, and learned so much I thought I knew, but didn't. I've given it as gifts to some of my family and friends.

You were brilliant and thank you for clarity on these issues. Such a needed sane, intelligent, and analytical voice. Eagerly waiting for my signed new book of yours which I preordered last week. Absolutely loved your Allow Me to Retort.

Sean, please don't stop shining a light on the reality of what is happening to science (including medicine). The implications are astronomical. As a health practitioner, I feel as though I am a deer staring at a headlight coming toward me. I stand by you and suuport your efforts.

Ordered! Looking forward to reading it and knowing it was signed while you were doing such important work. (-: Absolutely enjoyed Allow Me to Retort. I learned so much of what I thought I knew and appreciated your interpretations.

Elie, I just wrote your editor about how masterful, necessary and spot on this writing is. I am sharing it with some of my family members and friends who have children of color to bring up in this new environment. This is an example of why I read everything you write and follow you on media.

Already on my "to read" list. I always enjoy books by Adrian Tchaikovsky. And, I always value your recommendations, Katie.
comment in response to post
Katie, it would absolutely be fantastic but unfortunately, I'm not hopeful at this point.

One of my all time favorite movies of that genre. I've watched it more times than I'd like to admit. I think I know all the dialogue now.. And you can say any number of lines from it and other people know exactly which movie it came from. "What hump?" "Abby normal". (-:

Preach! They should just allow you to retort! (-:

Katie, coincidentally, even though I don't own a NASA t-shirt (wish I did), I too, gave thought to Sagan's vision of studying the cosmos and it's promising effect on our perspectives. BTW, my dog is named Sagan as my nod to a favorite human of mine.

I did watch him on #TheReidOut and of course I have already preordered his new book. Allow Me to Retort was a terrific read.

I can relate.

If I want to read fiction, I'll buy a novel.

Thank you, John, for your transparent and open assessment of where you are at with this situation. As a huge fan of both you and Neil Gaiman, your comments were helpful to me in sorting out my own feelings about Gaiman's situation. Nuch respect to you. 🙏

My copy is arriving today!

Loved that book! Recently finished The Message. Honest, brilliant, transparent.

It's been on my "to read" list. Let us know your thoughts after you read it, please.

Allow Me To Retort both enlightened me and educated me. I was hoping you would grace us with another book and alas, you have. Just preordered it. Thank you for all you contribute to my sanity and clarity on the issues you cover.

Thanks! I will go order now as a birthday present to myself (12/23). (-: I'm currently reading The Mercy of Gods by James S.A.Corey.

Unfortunately, I just missed the podcast. I am curious if you recommend this book? I do enjoy reading Adrian Tchaikovsky's books.
comment in response to post
I've enjoyed your other books so yes, of course I just preordered this one.

I so relate the way your mind seems to work. Probably why I enjoy your books so much!

A couple of eggs, whole grain toast with avocado, and fresh fruit. Or, a good, oat based granola with nuts, apple and almond milk. Remember to stay hydrated. Aids in both digestion and cognitive enhancement.

Or maybe the StarTrek Phaser Gun where you can choose heat, stun, kill, etc. depending on each special case.
