“Grooming gangs” isn’t really a thing except in the media. The 2020 report specifically states on P.13/14 that it’s not a term they use, and most “gangs” don’t fit that definition and would be classed as groups assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/u...

Well hopefully this will prove once and for all that most grooming gangs aren’t Muslim as portrayed in our delightful press. I worked on sex offender units at HMP Wandsworth and Wormwood Scrubs way more middle aged white men than Asians.

Or try selling a copy of Finnegans Wake, probably slightly easier than reading it!

One of the greatest novels ever written. I’m on my second copy as the first one fell apart after 30 years of reading and re-reading!

It is a matter of record that Savile had virtually unrestricted access to Charles. Charles went to Savile for advice on PR and also marriage guidance. Charles also wanted Savile to be Harry’s godfather.

P.S. So is Charles.

Never mind the money wasted on these parasites the fact King Charles had a long standing and intimate relationships with notorious paedophiles should be the reasons for getting rid of him. Not just Savile but disgraced cleric Peter Ball and Lord Mountbatten as well.

Just read this and found it fascinating, I knew nothing about Lister or his work and it’s not something I’d normally read but I’m glad I did. I’m going to pass it on to my brother who works in medical education.

That was literally what was on the BBC website!

The Heart In Winter is on my TBR pile, not long finished Night Boat To Tangier which I really enjoyed.

The Butchering Art, the true story of Joseph Lister the ‘godfather’ of antiseptics. The descriptions of Victorian hospitals and surgery are not for the feint hearted!

Good to see BBC claiming it was a ‘big win’ for Reform. Not even bothering to try and hide their bias these days.

Funny how she didn’t mention head coverings worn by nuns. It’s as if her ideology is based on race rather than religion……..
