Gough (as Dedra) has such an epic line: "I will guarantee a level of engagement, but it will be inversely proportional to the volume of anxiety you generate in our lives". Intersections between domestic drama & rebellion are fun and make the characters a galaxy away feel real. #Andor #AndorSpoilers

There are a limited number of £5 standing tickets at the Globe released on Fridays for the following week if they like Shakespeare & can stand for 2-3 hours. Broadway Market has become more touristy but you can walk from there to Victoria Park (or vice versa) in a straight line on the canal path.

Not April Fools' releated but a timely article on Apothecary Diaries by @shineyezehuhh.bsky.social which I think hits on why I've enjoyed it so much (murder mysteries, hierarchical/court intrigue, etc):

While I don't currently own any cats, here are some at a cat cafe I went to. They partner with a local shelter to get cats at the cafe adopted.

She also deleted posts on reddit where she linked to an archive site which captures some of the posts she made. Includes her quote skeet of someone discussing screenshots which have been shared in this thread - www.reddit.com/r/transgende... - www.reddit.com/r/transgende... - archive.ph/MMWGe

Just want to flag that some of the brigading might be due to her cross-posting on reddit to specifically call you out which is not great...

The way I found out I was missing a random childhood vaccine was cleaning out my mom's house & finding school records where she filled in the dates on med forms. Pneumococcal only joined the routine pediatric schedule in 2000; my PCP quickly fixed that for me 🤣

Neither my partner nor I were charged at CVS for the booster in Dec (didn't check ahead of time, no questions asked). I think the framing when asking is that you can't verify so do they cover titers for the MMR or do they recommend (and cover) jumping straight to the booster without checking
comment in response to post
Most people don't have *documented proof* of their childhood vaccines so it depends on your insurance. The MMR is a recommended vaccine & the HHS states "most insurance plans are required to cover recommended vaccines without charging you".

Do whatever ones seem fun; there are lots of jokes about people getting lost in the hinterlands. If you want to prioritize anything, the ones for Master Dennet put you on the path to unlock horses (& horse variations) as mounts for your party.

Does it require a booked flight? Or could you book a cheap hotel just over the border in Canada & say you're driving?

The maker's mark is "Wainberg, Israel" & vintage sites describe it as a 1960s brutalist brass menorah. His collection of menorahs spanned 3 shelves in my grandma's cabinet but I don't know if this is something he purchased or if it was gifted. It was the one no one else wanted from his collection

I have my simple menorah bought in a last minute panic the first year I realized I was responsible for having one myself and my grandfather's oddly laid out menorah which I love but have no idea where/why he got it.

The pharmacist wanted to verify I knew they had very bad interactions & should not be taken together. She seemed uncomfortable but agreed after I walked her through my doc's directions & said she could call to consult. I think she mostly dispensed b/c this was holding up the drivethru line... 3/3

The main time I've agreed with a pharmacist being concerned was when I was prescribed paxlovid & steroids for asthma control. The doc had explained they couldn't be taken together but wanted me to have the steroids in case of emergency if I needed to switch to prioritizing asthma management 2/3

Years of battling with various pharmacies on prescribing birth control as decided by my doctor & not whatever generic they had in stock. Continued even after my doc added a no substitutions order. I always had to open the bag, say this is the generic & you need to fill it as prescribed... 1/3

1st was 4E D&D & a lot of fun so after I moved I sought out a new D&D group. They were playing the brand new 5E. That game ran for just over 5 years & I'm super fond of it. I've changed in terms of genre interests & character types I want to explore which has led me to sometimes not-D&D.

Editors insisting that some primary sources (like social media statements) aren't allowed in situations where they are leads to things like this author doing a Slate interview just to state she's divorced to get it updated on Wikipedia...

Dreamwidth's cofounder Rahaeli has been doing breakdowns on the typical patterns & how to spot them (see #BadActorBingo). On why this happening, this is her theory:

PBS highlighted that part of the complexity is the range of providers (fire departments, hospitals, private equity firms, etc) + health insurance status and if the provider is in or out of network. The result is "no reasonable person can anticipate some of these costs".

Really loved the work you did for the IGN articles. Are any of these going to be available as art prints?

@sarahjeong.bsky.social is honestly doing an amazing job, but i should also point out that large mainstream outlets including the @washingtonpost.com have full-time bureaus in seoul and are covering the hell out of this. live blog is here: www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/1...

You do really need to mix it for 10min (doable with a hand mixer; easier with a stand mixer)! As an aside, my mom always bemoans the demise of Choc-o-Bake (hasn't been on the market in over a decade). It was pre-melted bakers chocolate which came in ketchup style packets to squeeze out. 4/4
