I think they could do like they did with Paul/Isabella. That Juliet's family offered to raise the child as Cane was too busy building his empire. He agreed, and now has very little tie to his child -- with some regret. Some day, his gorgeous grown child will come to town as a troublemaker.

That sounds exhausting. I've figured out this sort of meditative thing that guaranteed shuts my brain off. If I should happen to wake and have the discipline to stay off my phone, I can get myself right back to dreamland.

I really tried to nap this weekend, and I am constitutionally unable. I seem to shut off absolutely at night (sometimes earlier than I'd like) and shut on absolutely in the morning (sometimes earlier than I'd like), with no in between. I wish I could nap, lol.

But 18 months from now they'll realize the value of the Showtime brand, and bring it back. @edkane71.bsky.social

It's a soap though.

Patrick Mulcahey also infused theatrical language into Bold and Beautiful, and those were often the strongest scripts. It makes sense that they'd all share that "playwright" DNA.

I feel like it continues today. Andrew in workout gear, Holly's eyes falling out of her head, continuing the shared secret of not telling Wendy that they went out for celebratory drinks together.

Even now, Y&R is telling a relatively mundane business story that solely seeks to reintroduce a reimagined character, but by putting most of the cast in the story (for at least a week) in a new setting (fake greenery, mostly), it's instantly more compelling. The longer tape days are worth it.

The corporate stuff on all these shows is beyond tedious. Succession learned how to do it from soaps of yore, so soaps should watch Succession to understand how to do meaningful family/emotional stakes again.

As someone who never saw QAF with original music, I still find the show engaging, though I’m stalled on S02

>> a few weeks back when my husband was out of town, @markhtoo.bsky.social’s skeets inspired me to queue up the #Neighbours episode with Aaron’s whirlwind beachside gay romance, and gosh-effing-dammit, I fell right down a rabbit hole and now I’m sucked completely in. 🤦🏻♂️

No, each will stay in a train compartment— their clothes have been unpacked and they are changing in their compartment

Nico. Okay. But I seem to recall Sienna walking around with her hair shaved close to the scalp.
