And is anyone even slightly surprised?

Wait. Doesn’t Columbia have billions in assets? Time to eschew government funding for the time being.

Read the chapter on recidivism prediction.

Totally meets expectations. This calculation is probably just at the level of his ability to comprehend.

I should say please *read* and circulate widely.

But never mind, no big deal, it was an innocent mistake, they’ve learned their lesson, no classified information was shared, and anyone who thinks this is common practice by this administration with ample use of ā€œdisappearing messagesā€ to obscure their activities is a mad conspiracy theorist.

Perfect image to depict this group of performative teenagers.

Just Hegseth? They were all on this ā€œchatā€ and nobody checked or said it was inappropriate conversation for an unapproved platform. Plus they all sounded like immature teenagers in a pissing contest, saying what tough talk they’d take back to Daddy if everyone agreed (please don’t agree).

In a land famous for its dangerous creatures, Australian kids grow up worrying about magpies.

Thank goodness! Hoping this applies in Australia as we near an election and our opposition leader sounds more like Trump every day šŸ¤ž

Now that we have the presidents biggest donor running things on his behalf why should the George Soros trope hold any water? It’s all about the money and the oligarchs now.

Don’t remind me. Already chilly in Sydney. 🧊

Yea ok - you’re not wrong. I’m not American and wondered if there was some obscure law about impeachment within 100 days (go back to the people for another election for instance) but magical thinking.

I’m aware - but is there anything important about impeaching him within 100 days other than the symbolism? It’s been mentioned a few time in this thread.

What’s the importance of the 70 day limit?

How predictable was that? We know what’s coming next - a major interruption to (what’s left of) normal service in order to stamp out corruption. Ask for the evidence.

It’s called weaponised stupidity.

If you’re in a hurry, listen to his 15 minute chat with Dahlia Lithwick on Amicus (great podcast by the way). slate.com/podcasts/ami...

Love it @chrislhayes.bsky.social, and notwithstanding R1’s relative efficiency, how much water and energy did that enquiry just use? Not massive on its own, but multiply by the daily global user base. Would be interesting to know.

Shock and awe - they’re overwhelmed. We also need to keep showing the hypocrisy to highlight what he’s really doing. He’s spending hundreds of millions more on airforce planes for deportations just for the look of it. He’s not interested in saving money so what are the spending cuts really about?

He’ll grow into his name in no time, but for the moment I’ll be calling him lil Bart.

And what would she call pardoning the son in law’s dad who served time for far worse and then making him ambassador to France? And that’s just one of many. Everyone stop the pearl clutching - no norms were broken here, and Biden is protecting a son being punished for the ā€œsinsā€ of the father.

I’m going to!
