Ohtani thoroughly dominated the Astros in 2022, a year when they would go on to win their 2nd WS. He finished w/an ERA of 2.33 & missed finishing Top 3 for the Cy Young by just 1 vote. Astros beat writer wrote in Framber Valdez (ERA 2.88). That gave the 3rd place spot to Manoah. Welcome back, Ace 😭

Soriano trade bait

Daily MLB Schedule — 2025-06-11

True. But in the bottom of the 7th and within striking distance of the lead, (I don't think Kranick knows that) Ohtani becomes Optimus Prime Supreme in high leverage situations--batting .400, slugging .733, and opsing 1.257. Kranick should've walked the King of High Leverage there 🤭

I remember Dave Stewart said you shouldn't EVER be "friends" with "hitters" because they are your enemies. Both Ohtani and Fried are friends who are represented by the same agency, CAA Baseball. But then again, Ohtani isn't "just a hitter" 😉

the dodgers are coming off a world series win, are 34-22 at the top of the NL West, have the second most dominant offense by WAR and wRC+, and shohei ohtani is throwing an insane reverse sweeper in simulated games before his return to the rotation

"The pitcher is more selfish" - Shohei Ohtani Because the pitcher dictates the game. Don't let the Bublé or Sailor Moon walkup songs fool you. He's an assassin on the mound & his warmup songs have been exclusively dark alt rock. Duality of the 2 way player. War*Hall's Deadman Walking (from '23)

ERA Leaders - NL Yamamoto LAD 1.86 Luzardo PHI 1.95 Skenes PIT 2.36 Wheeler PHI 2.42 Peralta MIL 2.55

Scott is so damn hittable. Good lord 😂

Once an ace, always an ace. Yoshinobu Yamamoto carried the Dodgers on his back and took a no hit bid into the 7th before giving up a hit to Ketel Marte. Final line: 7 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 9K, 2 BB 🔥🔥 ERA down to 1.86

Along with 100+ Stolen bases: Shohei Ohtani 155 SB (thus far) Babe Ruth 123 SB (career)

CWS Home Run! Miguel Vargas homers (4) on a fly ball to left field. Chase Meidroth scores. The score is now CWS 2, CHC 0 (Top 1)

And more thing-- Racists are gonna racist. Xenophobes are gonna xenophobe. I expect that shit already as a poor, brown monkey. But you, fuck you forever, you disgusting #parasite. You hand delivered him to those salty demons that Ichiro warned him about... Fucking. Rot. In. Hell.

Really awesome moment with Julius Randle's oldest kiddo Kyden talking about his dad. "I like to hype him up and I like to watch him play his hardest. I just tell him to lock in and play good"

Avoid a choke job, please.

Barring Ohtani's heroics in GM 2, the Dodgers would be playing this afternoon to avoid a possible sweep by the Diamondbacks. Had to rewatch Ohtani's first ever pitching start in the NL to cope. He went 5 innings, had 8 ks, 2 doubles, 1 RBI, left with the lead & played RF. Angels beat the DBACKS.

I have lived for nearly 6 decades now. And I am forever grateful that I didn't die before a Shohei Ohtani dropped onto my timeline. No words....

chicago pope joke day is a top 5 bluesky day, I think
