For everyone who was like “Google search is getting worse,” we were absolutely right.

In Sonic 3, they use “End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys for a montage that dates to 1974, to encapsulate the memories of a character who was held in unconscious stasis from that year until 2024. That’s a weirdly avoidable screwup, right?

But remember, *you* can only have two dolls and five pencils

Tigers when Ednel starts: 21-7 When he doesn’t: 5-7

Rocco Baldelli praised Willi Castro this week, not only for his sheer versatility, but for the ease of implementation that comes with it. Baldelli only felt he needed to give his utility man 1 day's notice that he would ask him to play RF for the first as a Twin. He's a low-maintenance multi-tool.

The Twins are taking the field tonight to “Fat Lip” by Sum-41, behind No. 41, Joe Ryan. Nothing weird about that, since that song BANGS. I just thought I’d tell you.

The #MNTwins have a Norwegian marching band performing on the field pregame. It's cool. It's very well done. It feels WEIRD, given how extraordinarily protective of the playing surface teams usually are before games. But cool. Well done.

so, let's be absolutely clear: ICE "arrested" (without cause!) and disappeared the mayor of a major city for demanding they obey the law.

I am outraged by the unjust arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka earlier this afternoon outside of Delaney Hall in Newark. I am calling for his immediate release by federal law enforcement.

Just want to point out the Fox chyron there... "Dem Reps who stormed NJ ICE facility..." Stormed?

I block people without comment if they represent themselves as progressive, but I see that their timeline is filled with Gen AI imagery, which consumes resources and destroys the livelihood of creative people Keep that fascist boomer slop away from me, please

I often hear complaints about Cubs starters not going deep into games, but no one goes that deep into games anymore. The Cubs are exactly 15th in percentage of innings pitched by starters this year at 59.7%. MIL, NYM, SD, and CLE are all lower, and the top five teams are KC, LAA, PHI, DET, and WSN.

(Or just a move to the bullpen, which would deliver the extra tick. I think the big answer is, he’s just not a starter.)

(We should have open borders.)

Some of you—some of you who do this for a living, even—need to get more comfortable saying “I don’t know” about a ballplayer. There are about 1,100 relevant ballplayers in the MLB universe. You can only realistically know maybe 150 of them deeply, and some of you pretend to have a lock on *750*.

Nat isn’t talked about for the same reason all Black History is in danger & the rich history of the numerous, unending slave revolts & uprisings are suppressed. It serves today’s oppressors to present slaves as docile, subservient & deserving. That violently resisting our status quo is ignoble.

It’s very easy to feel sorry for the innocent. Our charge is to protect the basic humanity—no more than that, but that much—of even those who have denied it to others. If we can’t, we move one rung down the ladder toward them. And equally importantly: plenty of Death Row inmates *aren’t guilty*.

Nonprofit St. Louis BWorks is organizing people-powered bike buses to get kids to and from six different schools this year.

Wait. Does he think Democrats would use a tax hike on the rich as a mark against him in a campaign? Even more than usual, I can’t tell what the fuck he’s talking about.

Happy John Brown Day, all. Today is the 225th anniversary of Brown’s birth. When he was 59, he and a cohort of 22 people raided the United States Arsenal at Harper’s Ferry, Virginia, hoping to foment and abet a revolt by enslaved people that would spread throughout the South. Was worth a shot.

Americans are finally NOT just slogging their way through whatever franchised trash Disney throws at them and you’re MAD? This is why there are like seven Indiana Joneses! Do you WANT more Indiana Joneses?!?!

There is no humane way to kill a person. Death is a hideous process; even lethal injection is miles uglier than they’d love for you to imagine. STILL, this is an exemplar of the need to reform our laws and get rid of medieval, outmoded forms of the death penalty (and eventually the thing itself).

Put that man in the majors, imo.

I laughed so hard at this

They need to close this quarter well and plunk Ant down on the bench for the duration. He’s got no business out there right now.

No, no. That’s about Washington DC. CONCLAVE rocked the Vatican.

That’s one of the most Draymond Green plays you’ll see. Plenty of plausible deniability! But very obviously punk bullshit that he did on purpose!

Can’t wait for the first recitation of the Apostle’s Crede.

Look for this at the Vatican

American-born Pope Leo XIV tweeted five times in 2025: Two criticized VP Vance, one repost called out President Trump's laughter at Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and the two others concerned Pope Francis' health.

Already couldn’t but yeah

I'm glad we're getting so much more new hitting data because it seems to mostly just underline that hitting is *really* hard.

Devers on Breslow: “I’m not certain what (issue) he has with me. He played ball, and I would like to think that he knows that changing positions like that isn’t easy.”

Devers on conversation with Breslow (via translator): “ I know I'm a ballplayer, but at the same time, they can't expect me to play every single position out there. In break training, they talked to me and basically told me to put away my glove, that I wasn't going to play any other position but DH.
