I am Australian, politically left of centre, self employed. I care about climate change and justice for people left behind, or victimised by ignorance and self interest.

Air Force One was designed from the ground up for specific purpose.
Is this plane designed to be a flying national command centre, hardened for cyber and wartime protection, capable of in-flight refuelling and so on?
Who will pay for the maintenance and logistics support of this aircraft.

Sounds like you saying that the Australian Labor Party are an ignorant, dispassionate, undemocratic group who do not care about anybody or anything.
Sorry this does not seem a credible opinion, and based on the election result most Australian voters disagree with you.

That headline is crap. The Greens were saying the current government of Israel is implementing a hardline policy (and appears to be committing war crimes) and are not interested in a peace process.
I have plenty of Jewish friends who hate what is going on in Gaza.
Two wrongs do not make a right.

I voted “Yes” but I thought the “No” vote was all about saying no to a change to the constitution making “The Voice” a permanent goverment body.
It gave no mandate or support to the right wing for their culture wars and racism.

Not in my electorate, so they do not get to represent my community.
Trumpet of Patriots did not even get enough votes in any of the states to get a seat in the Upper House.

Sales of Tesla electric vehicles in Australia, namely the Model Y SUV and Model 3 sedan, have plummeted in 2025, down a whopping 72 per cent for the month of February.

Apart from the LNP incompetence and wish to follow Trump like culture wars.
Australian was also saved by our by mandatory and preferential voting system. When every voter and every vote counts elections are won in the centre and extreme left and right wing nut-jobs are shut out.

The Australian Labor Party win is impressive.
Compassion, respect for science and sensible policies has won the day. Culture wars have been shown to be stupid dog whistle political tactics in Australia.

Channel 7 even gave Dutton a hard time this morning and he looked surprised.
I hope he is kicked out by his electorate or at least to the back bench for leading a loosing campaign.
Save the ABC from Dutton👊

I really hope the Polls are correct.
The LNP team all look like the same faces from 3 years ago.
I have not heard anyone in the press as Peter Dutton what’s different from 2022 (apart from ScoMo disappearing)?

True we do have some far right Trump fans in Australia.
Fortunately they are on the fringes because Australian elections are won in the centre due to mandatory and preferential voting.
Our next federal election is in 10 days and Donald Trumps first 100 days have benefited our centre left party.

They are the leader and deputy leader of the Australian LNP Party (Conservatives). Australia election on the 3rd of May.
Hopefully they do not get in. Not as bad as Trump but still regressive.
Their MP for Gov efficiency (DOGE wannabe) actually said they were “going to Make Australia Great Again”
