They never actually gave a timeline after the re aggrevation. Definitely isn’t minor at this point.

It’s just the hamstring. He reaggrevated in warming up mid game and it just hasn’t gotten better, enough to rejoin the team yet.

Olof had plenty of comments but aside from player updates most of theme were just the same types of comments he usually states. Disappointed in the result, made changes bc they had to not bc they really wanted to, cited lack of available players, good 2H vs MNUFC until they started conceding.

Klauss on Olof: "He's not the only one right now. Everyone's on the hot seat. People are fighting for contracts, everybody's fighting. Nobody is safe right now. We have to go through this together." #AllForCITY

Klauss said he's not carried any injury lately, re: coming out of games early recently. He said he felt tightness in the calf yesterday vs MNUFC and told the staff, played through it until they made the call to take him out. #AllForCITY

I’ve criticized that on occasion and it’s a combo of, among other things, a lack of support alongside Klauss but also Klauss for better or worse, always wants to progress the ball so it’s the opposite problem someone like Hiebert has at times.

I could get behind that philosophy and so in that case you're right, the 2nd part of that whole conversation is why isn't the club making the necessary changes to support a line let by Becher when he comes in for Klauss. What are they missing and how can they structure a Klauss-less lineup better.

There's a pregame presser early this afternoon scheduled with Olof, so we'll see if anything happens before then.

And a 6th game in that stretch, vs MIN last weekend... arguably our worst game of this 2-3 month stretch... Klauss only subbed on at 83' after all 3 goals were already allowed. #AllForCITY

They changed personnel around but not so much the formation. Watts and Ostrák were in at CM after Durkin left from what I saw.

It's not ideal but it's not as consistent as the Becher coming in over the course of the last 2 months and us conceding late - but there's plenty of other correlations you could make too, that's just one I hadn't thought of until yesterday.

All of us. Was brutal.

I'm very curious on this one too.

The correlation also relates to Klauss exiting and the overall change in *gestures wildly* that occurs at that point in the game this year.

Now, I'm not saying Becher is directly responsible for allowing goals, but Olof made a comments postgame tonight alluding to making tactical changes late that they might not have wanted to make so it seems noteworthy in the bigger picture of front to back defending. #AllForCITY

I'm reading it at the very least, as the players are all together. Last year Durkin specifically said the locker room was fractured. This doesn't seem like that but whether it means Olof still has the fellas or not may be answered in the next few days.

Bürki to fans: There’s a lot going on that they don’t see. All the players really care but we haven't got into a rhythm this season... if we keep working & believing, the luck’s going to turn around. It's only going to happen if we work & stay together & support each other. #AllForCITY

Bürki said individual accountability is needed. He said, "We have zonal defense and even if the ball isn’t coming to our zone you goto the ball and try to attack and I think something we’re a little slow in our heads, a little surprised that the ball comes there. " #AllForCITY

Bürki said they had a meeting the last game after Minnesota and said "I don’t know if it’s helpful if we all sit again and talk about the same things. At one point, it’s enough talk. You have to bring actions and show different attitudes." #AllForCITY

Bürki on Olof said, "That’s how it is, that’s business. We’re trying on the field, obviously you see that. I see the desperation that we want to win games. Before, we’re talking, have good energy and then somehow, I don’t know what it is, something is blocking us from staying positive." #AllForCITY

Mellberg said taking into consideration their negative run & unfortunate defeats, he doesn't think you see a team that looks beaten when they play. He noted they earned their 2-1 lead but obviously have to continue the belief they can turn it around & close out games. #AllForCITY
comment in response to

Mellberg noted they made changes after the 1H: more direct, more bodies in the middle & for 2nd balls after too many bodies behind the ball in 1H.
He didn't fault the players but noted late they had to shuffle players around when they thought the picture looked good. #AllForCITY

More fire at least in this half than probably the last 6 combined.

Silva/Celio and Becher all offer unique looks compared to what we have in the XI at least. If we need a change, we have it.

Puts Hiebert/Baumgartl on more of an island and Olof’s seemed pretty reluctant to use 2 CB… much less without Kessler there.

We've kind of seen that in phases already recently. We have Célio in a "LWB" role... but in possession, we've been in a back 4 lately w/Hiebert, Yaro, Baumgartl & Watts. Célio stays high w/Klauss/Teuchert in possession and only drops back in rest defense. I'm all for a more firm change up too.

Honestly it was the Zalinsky ad that made me not go all in on Watts after hearing form Olof on Zalinsky's availability for his twisted ankle, so using him seemed more suspect for tonight.

That's a tricky question though bc Olof's actually been willing to change a few things around lately - namely is usage of Célio as a hybrid LWB/LW and how much stronger you need to be on the right side to account for a Hiebert playing wider left at times. So do we see that, or what we had earlier?
