That being said the US system doesn't work well with more than two parties so reformation might be the only way. It's just the optimum time for this kind shift to happen.

The current executive bent Congress but is having trouble fully bending the judiciary and is on the verge of committing to official dictatorship.
If there was a time to rally around something new, now is the time. There may not even be another election. If there is, vote strategically.

I mean, Bernie instinctively started campaigning and rallying. He's an independent. Republicans have been destroyed. Democrats can't get support due to status quo infighting. 1/2

Easy solution. Exit isolationism, say hello.
Hi there.
For all those who have difficulty taking that step. Hello as well. :)
But also, yes. There will be people who have ulterior motives and will cannibalize you for their own benefit. Set boundaries accordingly.

I don't think so. Under Hoover's Great Depression Americans showed that they were willing to starve. And that was starving under a democracy, not a cult.

The irony of a president that uses the slogan "peace through strength" for themselves. Then offering a promise of peace as long as the aggressor and negotiator get their pound of flesh and the victim stands alone clutching a promise from a man who did not come when the last promise called for it.

Love the discussion here and comments. We don't have to feel like terrible people. We have the opportunity to make fun of the terrible people. Culture is our survival niche. Go to a political town hall. Make fun of the clowns. Comedy is a super power. Don't let them shove you in the sunken place.

The funds are still frozen.
We're about to find out if the Trump admin acknowledges the orders of Federal Judges.

Sorry to have contributed to that. It was mentioned quite often during the Bush Jr admin and was a topic of contention. Like Puerto Rico still being considered a territory, it's part of America's colonial past.

For about two decades now there's been no due process for people the United States has placed there. I believe there's still some people who are there with no release date, no due process, and are likely still being tortured after 20 years.

Your point is sophisticated methods to undermine the market. I haven't done a study on it but I think cultural adaptation is the answer. Especially during a time where regulations are likely not to be enforced or reinforced.

I think free choice/free markets are a unicorn that can only be approximated under regulated conditions. It's no secret that markets and choice are regularly undermined and exploited.
I believe this falls more under the cultural niche and lends to the marshmallow example.

It's still consumers choice. Like going into Walmart and buying something you don't need because there's a tag that says it's on sale.
Highschool language teachers tried to teach us how to evaluate sources and identify manipulation. We can do better and be informed consumers.

Before Desert Storm I'd agree with you.
I agree there are bigger problems afoot. But I believe that the invasion was the moment Republicans learned how easy it was to lie to it's people and with the consent of Democrats. I feel there are lessons there to be learned.
