I’m not sure how different this is to just having a larger advance? Certainly it can help financially, but a lot of these issues are about better working conditions for designers.

Very good point. As an Australian who lived in Czechia for some time, while both of my countries didn't have amazing songs this year, both are already at a disadvantage when it comes to having few or none other countries where we can depend on some regular support in the public vote.
