Ah, got it. I'm generally skeptical of the notion of a quad-a player, but personally I haven't really liked what I've seen of him at the plate at big league games. He has a good approach but I just have seen him hit very few balls with authority.

It's just so bizarre. Some of the songs even have danceable beats. I'm not opposed to mashups, or dance music, or any of that. It just seems pointless and lazy.

Yep. It's the final of one of two four-team mini-tournaments. Basically, they play two regionals and then the winners of those play in a best of 3.
