Fwiw, every motorcycle from a legit manufacturer isn't that loud, as there are regs for production vehicles. Every loud motorcycle, the owner chose to make it that way. The cops don't enforce it, because they go home and ride their own loud motorcycle.

"I was there too" is really fun. The premise is the host interviews people that had bit parts or were extras in big movies. Examples are one of the students in Dead Poets Society and people on the bus in Speed.

The real power of using a sed/awk/grep one-liner for things you could do faster by hand is you're exercising that skill. At some point, you'll use that skill to pipe something together like a *$&#@ magician that would take hours to do any other way. Ideally during some critical moment.
