For a political writer, you don’t seem to understand politics at all. No one is going to talk about Biden in the next election. Three years is forever in politics.

I agree. Biden’s voice and mobility showed age effects but did not indicate dementia

After reading Trump’s incoherent rambling, I don’t think he knows what he’s doing.

I doubt Trump or Musk has ever set foot in a National Park.

A financial advisor friend called that generation DOOPs: Depression Oriented Old People. Certainly true for my parents.

Musk certainly doesn’t sound intelligent in this exchange.

My governor, Kim Reynolds, would do whatever Trump wanted her to.

@marysanders.bsky.social this was an interesting thread explaining why we see so many awful comments on Twitter

When I signed up for Social Security I was not given an option of a mailed check—only direct deposit.

I hate that Trumpers can lie so brazenly with no push back. Tens of millions of Americans dying of fentanyl is an insane number a normal person would realize is impossible. Fentanyl is a tragedy but three to four hundred thousand is the actual deaths from fentanyl is the last 25 years.

Yeah, when Pete Hegseth went on Fox and said “Diversity is not our strength” — seems like a lot of ordinary people would push back against that.

A relative had a complex Social Security problem I tried to help him with. It took forever to get even a phone appointment and this was pre Covid.

Appreciated having my Jewish daughter in law and grandchildren light a menorah and recite the prayers along with our usual Christmas observances.

What teams should be ranked above them?

The annual homeowners’ insurance for our small HOA (21 residences) in central Iowa was $11,000 in 2022; $22,000 in 2023 and $26,000 in 2024. Needless to say, association dues have gone up!

I live in Iowa and hate them too. Impossible to see around them when parked next to those behemoths.

When I worked in a medical clinic, the patient’s chart indicating a miscarriage would say SpAb for spontaneous abortion.

The only way Trump would have any authority to put people in jail, is if he wins the election. I assume if he wins, he’s not going to try to overturn the results.

I have a good eye for color. I can look at a shade of gray and tell if it has brown undertones or blue undertones or green undertones. Also know terms to describe shades of colors i.e. robin’s egg blue vs Tiffany blue vs sky blue. I know the difference between loden green and olive green etc.

I had my four kids close together and the toddler years felt endless to this SAHM. School age was better: I loved watching them grow into their own person. A few rough patches in high school but the college years were golden!

Joe Rogan was on Newsradio? Used to watch that show all the time and have no memory of him.

We had Current Events quiz on Fridays in 6th grade. I was the one who knew all the answers because few 6th graders paid attention to politics. I knew I’d look show offy if I raised my hand every question so I would answer a couple and look puzzled after that.

Agree regarding Barbie. Much of it worked for me and was fun viewing but some just seemed weird and not

Guess I’m in a different retirees cohort—we all hate Trump even those who are Republicans.
