Does this person know that California, our whole southwest, as well as parts of the northwest, all the way up to Oregon once belonged to Spain? That we got the whole southwest, including California from Mexico, when we invaded it in 1848 when the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed?

That's what needs to happen. A good old-fashioned sit-in.

Ever notice that the people who do that have never read the Constitution?

To cover this shift, states should not send federal dollars to the federal government so the states can cover these expenses.

Of course he did. Trump threatened his government contracts.

Either he couldn't vote for a Democrat or couldn't vote for a woman or both. If he couldn't see this coming after she said it would I have no sympathy for him.

Coward. As soon as Trump threatened his government contracts, Musk backed down. Weenie.

How dare they rename these United States military bases after traitors who commanded men who killed United States soldiers.
comment in response to post
The men who these bases are named after commanded men who killed United States soldiers. They are insulting the brave U.S. soldiers who charged up Marye's Heights at Fredericksburg, held the line at Gettysburg, died at Chickamaugua & were burned alive in the Wilderness.

Hasn't quite got the hang of how to use the trunk yet.

These Confederate generals commanded men who killed United States soldiers. Returning these names is an insult to the brave United States soldiers who charged up Marye's Heights at Fredericksburg, held the line at Gettysburg or burned alive in the Wilderness.

How dare they. The men Braxton Bragg commanded KILLED United States soldiers. They're cheering is an insult to the brave United States soldiers who charged up Marye's Heights at Fredericksburg, held the line at Gettysburg or burned alive in the Wilderness.

You can go anywhere in a book. Anywhere in the world, back in time or into the future. You can solve mysteries with Agatha Christie or fight alongside Diomedes in Homer's Iliad.

Trump said he wanted it & Hegseth being the weenie that he is made it happen. This is what happens when you put in place a Secretary of Defense who doesn't understand the military's place in a constitutional republic. We went from a 4-star general to this twerp. I blame Republicans for this.

When the Civil War was going on & Ulyssess Grant was in command of all the Union armies he stayed as far away from politics as he could. That's why he made his HQ in the field. Lincoln was relieved when he asked Grant if he planned to run for president. Grant told him no. Grant respected the line.

Another media outlet that is caving to Trump. I can't help but believe these stations are living in fear that Trump might have their broadcasting licenses pulled.
comment in response to post
If it were President Biden the media would be having a field day. Of course, if they do with Trump the Trump Administration would say the reporter needs to be censored & the station needs to lose its broadcasting license.
comment in response to post
The media had a field day when President Biden stumbled. Will this even make the news?
comment in response to post
Trump being Trump won't understand how they can do that because he doesn't understand the Constitution. How possibly can his wishes be thwarted. He's the president.

If California stops paying its federal taxes, it would probably have more funds than what the federal government doles out to it.

Considering the fact that you could have gone to jail for statutory rape I think you should rethink that.

With the condition of his companies, Musk can't afford to lose his contracts, so Trump's threat could just have been a way to keep Musk in line.

Why do they fly flags & wear paraphernalia that reminds every one of their failures? I mean if you didn't succeed at something would you keep throwing it in people's faces to remind them that you were defeated?

If they had the actual figures they would produce them.

Happy anniversary to you both. My mother's name was Gwen. My parents were just 9 months shy of their 50th when my dad died back in 2007.

Love it. Yarn has gotten so expensive I don't do afghans anymore unless I know for sure I'm going to finish it.

Until I read a book several years ago, I'd always thought the Marquis de Lafayette was somewhere around Washington's age when he joined the Revolution. Image my surprise when I found out he was only 19.

When they put in their insurance claim what do they say? I dropped it & an otter stole it.

Knew Musk's opposition was self-serving. He could care less that over 10 million Americans will be kicked off of their healthcare. He could care less if American children get free school lunches or that veterans have a place to live. His only interest in this bill is how it affects him.

Funny. I thought he said he had evidence.

Trump & his minions don't seem to care that those Confederate racists killed United States soldiers. The Cornerstone speech of Confederate VP Alexander Stephens showed exactly what they were as did the Confederate Constitution. Is it any wonder they would rename the U.S.S. Harvey Milk?
comment in response to post
Republicans only wanted to please Trump. They didn't care about what was in the bill. They all seem to forget who they work for & it isn't him.
comment in response to post
These representatives are being paid to read these bills, not to be led around by the nose by GOP leadership telling them how to vote & what to vote for. They work for their constituents & they are supposed to do what is in their constituents' best interests.
comment in response to post
Because Republicans have been screaming for decades that Socialism is bad & so people get it into their heads that Republicans are on their side & they vote against their own self interests.
