The old guard must cede control of what’s left of the Democratic Party to the next generation. Current Leadership is anachronistic, demonstrating neither a working knowledge of where or how people obtain information, nor a clue as to how close we are to autocratic rule.

It not only stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party, it bridges between parties and levels of political engagement. Vets and farmers are outraged. Non-voters disapprove of Trump by an astonishing 83%. Meanwhile, Schumer and Carville wait for Trump to self-immolate as democracy burns.

Sales pitches? What he’s doing is grifting and lying. Could we Democrats do better at communicating our messages? Sure. How about calls to action that are designed to thwart the grift, like boycotts, work stoppages, new media, and en masse stock sales (TSLA, GOOGL, META), to name a few?
