I played over 30 rec league soccer. Some people were really good. But one was a guy who used to be semipro in Europe. He stood in the middle of the field because he couldn’t move much anymore, but if he got the ball his shots were like cannon fire. It was terrifying.

It feels like they engage with it like it’s WWE-style wrestling. So essentially both a soap opera and sport. The audience values bluster and showmanship, and if you follow the all the rules the audience sees you as a sucker, not as a good candidate.

They barely have armor but that means the shells pass straight through, so by the time one sinks 4 more have shown up to join the battle.
