As an Army Reservist NCO in the 90s (Reserve MI Bn attached to a guard division) I always looked down on the TXNG. It was called the "Nasty Guard" for a reason. Definitely a difference between USAR and NG officers.

Or that the force structure is mostly NOT combat arms MOS. My experience is dated (because I've been out for decades) but MI was chock full of the most question-authority types imaginable. I can't imagine that has changed.
