We’re proposing the biggest transformation of the Queens subway network in over two decades with the QueensLink “two for one!” #buildthequeenslink

And yet, so many state DOT’s somehow ALWAYS have enough money in their budgets to build them. Without ever questioning their value. How effed up is that?

It’s really sad just how many people are stuck in this boat. Including many New Yorkers who were actually here back then. Although the 90s weren’t nearly as bad the 80s, especially the latter part of the 90s. NYC’s roughest decades were the 70s and the 80s.

He’s right! We should be taking the money the MTA would need to subsidize free buses and earmark it for expanding the subway, especially into southeastern Brooklyn, eastern Queens and Staten Island.

Oh, now that’s a solid buuuuurn!

I really wish we’d have more car enthusiasts who think like Matt Farah and less who think like Robert Moses.

I mean, I’d be happier if the candidates for Mayor actually vowed to pledge an additional $1.5b per year to help fund transit projects instead of pledging that money just to make the buses free. Free isn’t going to make the buses any better if they’re still slow, packed and unreliable.

Amen to that! It really does go a long way. Try not being a misogynist. You might like it.

Everyone’s favorite mayor endorsed the fucking sex pest so “he” had to say something 😂

Well, what other opinion would you expect from someone whose newspaper is dying in darkness?

Andrew Cuomo hasn't lived in the city since 1990 and only just moved here at the end of 2024 into his daughter's apartment for his vanity run for mayor. Anyone arguing that he's a New Yorker is deliberately obfuscating.

We'd like to think that @chi.streetsblog.org 's tireless razzing of Tribune editorial board members might be helping nudge them out from behind the steering wheel, towards a more progressive attitude on walk/bike/transit matters.

It’s really sad and pathetic how Ohio legislators are so allergic to passenger trains of all kinds. But somehow…they had $600 Million to give to Jimmy and Dee Haslam, the billionaire owners of the Browns, for a new stadium not in Cleveland. Ohio legislators really don’t make any sense.

This is so fucked up! Why is highway spending never subjected to this bullshit? Does it really have to be this way, Illinois legislators?

A good thing.

Yes! At least they’re finally admitting that doing it “the way we’ve always done it” isn’t working and are willing to try something different to make the trains run more reliably.

Yes, state leaders. Why is that?

This is true. And even if you think this ISN’T the particular problem your city has, it’s always a safe bet that adding more car lanes still won’t solve whatever you think your problem is.

Yes, please! It’s not good to keep losing representative seats in Congress. Try to get at least one seat back, CGA!

Here's my secret: I hate them as much as they pretend to hate us, and I'm sick of acting as if I actually have to care about their voters.

And that’s the problem with street running railways in North America.

To those who still want to kill congestion pricing - Haw haw! 😂

You CAN’T take the high road with a morally bankrupt person. It just DOESN’T work…

He regrets RESIGNING? Seriously 😒???

“People say, ‘Oh, you can't take away our car. We need it for family purposes,’" State Sen. Gounardes said. "Well, if you can't operate the vehicle safely, we're going to force you to operate the vehicle safely if you have a history of being extremely reckless.” buff.ly/aErPuqX
