1000 copies of the script to Bee Movie, and one desperate plea for attention from Graham Linehan

Not only would the scene have been better in any other location, but ESPECIALLY since the specific idyllic landscape she apparently chose to return to was the one where she was almost r***d. That seemed like an incredibly tasteless choice for that scene

There’s a lot of issues with it, but what I’ll never get over is the Pit scene, where it seems to be leading up to Bruce figuring out the clever solution to an impossible task that only one other person achieved, only for the answer to ultimately be “jump harder.”

The US Postal Service is, importantly, a SERVICE, and not a for-profit company

I mean, I’m not a fan of either of them and don’t condone supporting them going forward, but I don’t begrudge anyone still loving Good Omens or Sandman. But if you somehow STILL like Harry Potter you’re part of the problem

I at least view cases like Gaiman’s differently from JKR when it comes to still enjoying their past work. He *did* evil things, but that doesn’t necessarily change the meaning in his past writing. Whereas JKR *believes* evil things and it very much informed and is all over her work once you see it

I already have the Netflix Bee, and I really don’t care for his parts forming or his scowly face, but I really love seeing a Beetle in that brighter shade of yellow so I’m tempted to get this one despite the flaws

“Your outie works for a mad scientist who isolates and tortures his employees” actually kind of tracks. Maybe Lumon has been a division of the Gizmonic Institute this whole time!

I made a similar argument once when a guy suggested boycotting a homophobic author was “violating his free speech.” The debate ended when I asked if he was arguing that all people should then be legally required to purchase all books in order to uphold that speech

You obviously don’t understand how boycotts work. You’re supposed to BUY the product and performatively destroy it on YouTube. You’re not supposed to not keep buying the things. That’s just not fair

The last time for me was another Superman movie, in 2006. I still think Returns is an underrated film, but it’s impossible to defend anymore due to its director and one of its stars. Still, Routh is my favorite Superman, and Corenswet is the first one since that I’m truly excited for

I’m starting to think Kanye just truly wants to be hated, and he’s angry that people mostly don’t take him seriously enough to hate him and just laugh at or pity him instead. Because if he’s hated then at least he’s seen as a serious person that he desperately wants to believe he is

If you don't think a film is political, it's because you agree with its politics.

Okay, I thought she left before they went to the future but now I remember. I guess I’d just assumed she’d gone back to the same time period they’d left from. That makes a lot more sense now. Thanks!

Sincere question, how is it set after STVI? Discovery was set 10 years before TOS, which was like 20 years before STVI, so wouldn’t that make Georgiou 30 years older in this movie?

Ironically this photo does capture the Blade Runner dystopian aesthetic Elon was so desperate for people to see it as

I don’t think there’s a solution and I’m not saying people should stop sharing their grief. I’m just wondering if it’s just me? Is it as excessive as it feels?
