This is great!

For Star Wars Day, this is the first “concept art” book I bought in 1977. It launched my desire to work in movies so I could draw spaceships and robots for a living. I showed it to my career councillor in college, asked how I could work in this field. “I have no idea” he said.

Looking for new opportunities !

This is a new image from #JWST. The bright points with spikes are stars in the Milky Way. Everything else is a galaxy. Everything. Else. Is. A. Galaxy.

I am excited to be a part of "Master Sketchbooks", coming out in July. This anthology features art from some of my favorite artists including: Wayne Barlowe, Sandro Cleuzo, David Colman, Vincent Di Fate, Tony M. DiTerlizzi, James Gurney, John Howe, Dave McKean, Darrell Warner, and Terryl Whitlatch.🎨

Grateful for all the art and artists, keeping this space a place for hope and optimism.

RIP Viktor Antonov, brilliant designer for Half-Life 2 and Dishonored. I played those games more than is healthy just to live in those environments. www.eurogamer.net/half-life-2-...

Some relatively recent sketchbook warm-up doodles with my trusty Rotring 0.9mm blue.

I’m a craftsperson/printmaker inspired by odd historical structures. I’m usually to be found lurking around in abandoned and unsavoury buildings with a camera and a sketchbook. My work is mostly drypoint and mixed media drawings. I’m also partial to airships…

As a reaction to the terrifying venture capitol extremism, technological feudalism and just general fascist idiocracy, I'm just going to post drawings, mostly made with my weapon of choice, my 1992 Rotring 0.9mm mechanical pencil with blue leads. My happy place.

In 2001 I was visually developing The Neverending Story as a limited TV series with Icestorm Studios. We lost the bid, but here are some preliminary sketches I did.

Has it really been 20 years since I worked on 300? Here's one of my first illustrations for the film. Note, I kinda overdid it back then with the watercolour filter in Photoshop.

Looking through some of the work I did on "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" in 2007, such a fun project. Drew a lot on paper, which was a plus. here are some sketches.

New book just arrived earlier than expected, and it’s stunning! A beautiful art book for the extraordinary animated series:

Hey fellow artists, what was your favourite art/illustration book this year?

An update of sorts Well, it's been awhile, eh? A lot has happened in the years before this post. I'll start by going backwards a bit. I retired from teaching in June, and stopped freelancing two years ago. I have seven projects going back to 2019 which either got cancelled or shelved, so that's a…

Wow, what’s going on? Haven’t posted since January and suddenly have over 100 followers in 24 hours. Guess I should stop avoiding social media post stuff now?

New Year's resolution - post more art. So here's my design for the Nautilus, early and revised, and a mini-sub that goes with it.

Hey is there a way to make the feed fit in landscape mode? I’m on my iPad Pro and it’s a teeny-tiny-vertical column.

Bought these gorgeous mid-century Polish space stamps from 1963 onEBay. Scanned and enlarged a few to frame and hang in my office.
