This is epic, and required reading. Also maddeningly frustrating that we can’t regulate or shut down AI slop and enshititfication. At least in the 19th century there were cogs we could throw our boots into to stop the machines.

Oh yes! Hands down, my favourite costume design in the whole series too.

Their tag line, to stay consistent with the franchise, needs to be “On Earth, everyone can hear you scream.”

The single most destructive thing to happen in our lifetime is how fast and completely unregulated the tech industry has become, with carnival hustlers like Altman taking advantage of this to break laws before governments and lawyers have a chance to catch up. So discouraging.

More Neverending Story: The Grassy Ocean village, sketches and a concept painting. I actually made paper models of these huts.

Excellent recommendations! Thanks! I’ve had my eye on the Meinerding, and the Cuphead book

Every page is jam packed with art and it’s a big book! Bonus extras like fold-out panoramas, maps, posters, and even a mylar blueprint.

Special shout out to @70sscifiart.bsky.social whose book "Worlds Beyond Time" is full of the art that inspired me as a young aspiring sci-fi illustrator in my teens.

Here are my favourite books purchased this year. I especially liked Shaun Tan's "Creature". "The Art of Futurama is a real treat as well."

Looks good! Keen to see the movie soon.

That totally counts! Great book!

Ah, of course! Time to get back on the bandwagon then.

Good idea! Especially since many book covers are wrap-around and are cropped, we miss the full effect of epic images like this.

No worries, thanks. Glad to know you’re on the mend

Indeed, so well acted too, and mind-boggling effects.

I saw it last week, and I agree with you. Easily one of my top favourite films of the year, and the best Godzilla film since, well, ever! So much heart!

Happy New Year to you too! Looking forward to your cool posts, really appreciate what you do every day!

Sounds like you dodged a bullet there. The last video game company I worked for, the three people that interviewed me asked how I feel about working with younger people, which made me a little uncomfortable. Did they have an age ceiling, I wonder?

Holy cow, who would even consider that you were 95% of what they wanted, with your experience and talent?! Really unrealistic expectations.

The game that hooked me on video games. Unreal that it’s been 30 years.

That scene was amazing! I skipped back and watched it twice when I first saw it.
