Like I'm guessing it's technically correct that usage skews younger but like...not banning tik tok is the better play and yet...

Partial to partisan identity will override a large percentage of information (for changing your mind substantially) with the help of not seeking out information you do not want, especially after it conflicts with your priors/gut. Ig the upside is US is split narrowly so it becomes overdetermined.

Kind of applies to media/newsrooms...

My initial reaction was introduce competition for the use of violence rather than competition for some other defined metric that aligns with public safety.

In the sense that an editing process cannot be removed if you're trying to be thoughtful/exact/artistic?

Undercuts 'serious about policy' vibes imo

Does that make it a good thing to try and convince mods/centrists to care about abundance or whatever or closer to trying to convince a significant minority portion of the GOP they're a "populist" wing that cares about Medicaid, Medicare, family welfare policy?

Unsure how to understand compete in this

I was leaning towards he mostly slinks away, but social media addiction and owning twitter might be too strong and he'll supplicate further and then continue on

Like in the smuggling will win out way or edge cases of no trade don't count?

Like if I want to read other viewpoints there is an entire internet outside of this single app...breaking news on old Twitter was a beautiful thing tho, but it's not like that anymore as far as I know

Seems like it's a rejection that they personally need to adjudicate his racism unless they deem he is forcing the issue. As to why he is seen as a person with status, is it book, blog, and GC's he is in?

Tbf they do get bullied here...only to write an essay trying to bully users back

Are normies by definition insufficient in dedication to sustain/build a movement (bc they will prefer to live their lifes)?
comment in response to post
Unfortunate when someone goes too far down the my understanding of tactics are clearly correct hole
comment in response to post
Dunno if this is true (haven't read up on him) but first reaction, this seems like antiquated/quaint behavior for a R elected lol (ig my expectations have shifted to they just power through it and the party/their voters dfag)

Will Collins survive, one can only hope not...

Don't think users here think bluesky figured out how to not make people act deranged on the internet.

Yea they should answer the question quickly, demonstrate some level of knowledge, and pivot to what they want to elevate. Wonder why "distraction" comes into their communication to the public, how they talk about it as a priority or effecting political discourse in background discussions?
comment in response to post
Yea can they get some other phrasing to pivot to I also want to elevate and talk about this important issue too.
comment in response to post
Not all of that is strictly true, republicans do want some form of their version of limited immigration but also it gets repeated enough that dems want open borders...
comment in response to post
Don't know if it would have changed anything but media could choose to frame it as reps are ratfuckers on the issue (bc as a group they do not want immigration) and while the current system doesn't function very well there isn't a crisis and there are alot of resources on enforcement to prevent one.
comment in response to post
social media doesn't have to be strictly a marketplace of ideas to influence opinions and steer the nation lol (but does kind of mean there is a different form of political hobbyism going on here or whatever alongside everything else)
comment in response to post
Tend to think it's usually the size of the program needed (which is hard to evaluate imo and depends on what you're trying to do)

CA reps and particularly the governor come to mind...

I'd assume the only way to earn her praise would be to become right centrist thought, doubt she knows or cares for anything else
comment in response to post
Didn't find her answer to be terrible, it does not meet the emotional mark some want (can and should every dem pol perform that...probably not, definitely need some to hit the emotional mark and to challenge the legitimacy of what is going on tho)
comment in response to post
Was wondering if your expectation was universal or "universal".
comment in response to post
Actually surprised, this is a waste on money isn't deployed against it (ya know doge bs, and reconciliation bill...)

Like why did the American mind not want to saddle Harris with a republican senate?

Support him defeating Boebert but that's about it at this point (or different CO house R).
comment in response to post
Probably a different subject than what was in the posts. I'm wondering, even if people embraced econ policy by Biden, would it still be viewed as a failure by politicians if they view it through electoral incentives or maybe they won't link them.
comment in response to post
My question is it really about embrace from a particular faction or politicians/advisers now have a data point (election binary) I do not like (when stimulus is needed again)?
comment in response to post
Still weird how Rs decided that's our guy
comment in response to post
Maybe that was more of a description of hyper engaged partisan than literal
