Thought I’d share a little Marc Garneau story. For those who don’t know, Garneau was the first Canadian in space. His passing was just announced. I met Marc Garneau when I was very little, probably around grade 5 during the mid 80’s thanks to NASA and the Canadian Space Agency (thread)

Successfully restored this original Gameboy that “needed a new backlight” because the screen was basically imperceptible. Was not sure how I’d fix that, but it was pretty simple! They didn’t realize there was a brightness control on the left hand side 😂

Made my own apple sauce to go with pork tonight. That was amazingly easy and super tasty. I also patched my own pants with a thread and needle. I’m basically a (non)trad husband at this point.

Spent yesterday repairing this 8mm/Super8 converter I found for a steal. Was able to successfully repair it and only glued myself to it once. Will be posting some of the found footage I was busy restoring and converting to digital today. #8mm #FoundFootage

Rainbolt is one of the best GeoGuessr’s in the world. Toronto is his kryptonite. Ironically, Vancouver has been mine so far. The article makes an interesting comment on why both cities are problematic.

Just wrapped listening to campaign one of the D&D podcast Tales From The Stinky Dragon - Infinights (@stinkydragonpod.bsky.social). Absolutely loved it. All the action and improv story telling of Critical Role, a heavy lean into comedy, a great cast, digestible length, and it’s family friendly. 👍
